i was on a jw page recently and some dubs were openly predicting the end of the world in a year.

mike flynn (trump advisor) mentioned having one religion in america and the dubs went crazy.

someone even mentioned 1975 on the thread.. it seems to have since been deleted; but there were about 50 comments before i couldn't find it again.

simple.. you cannot find the word there (or many of the comical variations such as: a triune godhead, the triunity, co-equal god beings, godhead, a hypostaic union, divine essences, divine natures, a god-the-son, a god-the-ghost, hypostasis, homoousios, perichoresis , a godman, omnipresence, incarnation, a god who is a sacred mystery, a god 'in three persons', dual natures, a reincarnate god, a first person of the trinity, a second person of the trinity, a third person of the trinity, godness, a tri-unity or a multipersonal god), or any of the so-mentioned aspects.. jehovah identified himself (not 'themselves") as on one god, as did jesus and all the prophets.

“The trinity is not biblical”. This is an argument that has been going on for some 1500 years, and unlikely to be resolved anytime soon!

Over the last 18 months, I have been working for extended periods in another country. Since the middle of this year, it’s entry requirements have included mandatory vaccination for COVID-19. So yes, I have received both doses of the Astra-Zeneca vaccine.

Do any of you ex JW`s ever feel ashamed or embarrassed to admit you were once a JW? To your now friends / associates ?

i ask this now because i have been living in this town for the past 14 years and the circle of friends i have now i have never let on i am an ex jw.. i`m talking about 30-50 people at least.. not that the subject has ever really come up , but i think they would be shocked / amazed that i was a ( i hate this word ) a "devout" jw for 32 years going around knocking on peoples doors trying to convert them to the religion .. yet every now and again i get tempted to.. how say you ?.

Very, very few of my associates know of my JW past. It is something that I now try to put behind me and would much rather just forget about.

The trouble is, it keeps coming back to bite one on the @$$!

The Bible has been described as being made up of "66 Fairy Tales, written by 40 different authors in three languages, on three different continents and over approximately 1600 years".

After my reading of the Bible, the only part of the above description that I have issues with is the piece about "three different continents" (with the Sinai Peninsula being to the east of the commonly recognised border between Africa and Asia) !
