  magazine is to be issued just once a month from january 2006, now is an apt time for interested parties to share brief memories and/or impressions about the bi-monthly awake!

  Reading Awake and Watchtower indeed would qualify a person for a university degree - from Tasmania’s University of Lower Crackpot. I’m sure that after completing that course of study, they would happily award you a Bachelor of Stupidity!

  i've mentioned before how i've wondered how tony morris must have felt when he was sacked.

  yes, i know he's a rehensible human being who got served a healthy dose of karma, or, if you like, divine judgement.

  to go from having all there is to have within the world he lived in, to where he is now; that's a long fall.

  ) and of the disgusting things of the earth.”.

  btg is spotlighted as being the principal "disgusting thing" which affects christians & christianity, with other lesser "prostitutes" in the background... (revelation 18:4) “get out of her, my people, (christians) if you do not want to share with her in her sins, and if you do not want to receive part of her plagues.".

  That Pan-Babylonialism is 24 Carat pseudoscience comes as no surprise!

  Also during the same “Free Home Bible Study” phase, I remember being assured that all the world’s major languages originated in the ancient city of Babylon. To put matters very diplomatically, this is simply not the case!

  Little about the religion of Babylon was exactly original, either. Most of it had been inherited from the earlier Sumerian civilisation.

  Hardly the birthplace of either the world’s languages or its religions!

  During the "Free Home Bible Study" phase of my Indoctrination into the JWs, I recall being assured that "all the world's false religions" could in fact be traced to the ancient city of Babylon.

  There was indeed a school of thought called "Pan-Babylonialism", which had a certain following around the turn of the 20th Century. However, that idea has long since been discarded - almost to the point of being considered pseudoscience. There is also Alexander Hislop's The Two Babylons, which advances similar ideas, but which was soundly debunked even during Hislop's own lifetime (circa. the mid-19th Century). Just the same, the JWs used to treat that work of Alexander Hislop as having almost the final say on the matter!

  everybody knows the famous "stay alive still 75" audio clip but here is a clip from 1972 with english subtitles.

  harold mouritz was the branch committee member in finland when he gave this talk.

  later he became the coordinator of the australian branch.

  One of their business enterprises involved the printing of what now would be described as “soft” pornography - with the intended clientele being members of the armed forces.

  Oh yes…… the “Kingdom Farm” in the Brisbane suburb of Oxley. Right adjacent to the military airfield at Archerfield. Canteens operated for servicemen and all that.

  Jeffrey Jackson: Too much excitement got in the way for the ''false dates''

  annual meeting 2019—talks and 2020 year textthe governing body members are nothing but a bunch of weasels.

  here is a talk by jeffrey jackson on how the governing body ''the slave class'' has remained spiritually awake over 100 years and alerted its members.. he looks back on the ''faithful and discreet slaves'' false dates over the 100 years: '' but at times, we look back over 100 years, and there were times they got excited about a certain year or time, and the end didn't come at that time.''.

  he makes the comparison between the ''slave class ( who disappointed others when the end didn't come ) to a barking watchdog ( who in his enthusiasm barks at nothing in the middle of the night and wakes up the owner).

  Are Atheists Hypocritical in Celebrating Christmas?

  richard dawkins revealed that he celebrates christmas on radio four's today programme.. here is is quoted as saying: .

  'i am perfectly happy on christmas day to say merry christmas to everybody,' dawkins said.

  'i might sing christmas carols - once i was privileged to be invited to kings college, cambridge, for their christmas carols and loved it.

  ie. Engage in practices which predate Christianity by a long shot.
