“Divides” of some sort or other are almost inevitable, as nobody is likely to agree about every single thing. Then add to that those who feel obligated to say “black” just because they heard another person say “white”, and the rest is not hard to imagine. I believe it is called “human nature”.
“Popular Sovereignty” might be a laudable ideal, but almost impossible to ever achieve.

During the first Indochina War (1946-1954), Communist Viet Minh forces employed “Death Volunteers” to breach the barbed wire entanglements. ( Any other army would use a Bangalore torpedo). The political fanatic can be every bit as dangerous as the religious one - and even at the very best, just as big a pain in the @$$.

she told me there was an outbreak at the hospital and she got the virus after being vaccinated.
she said she was told it probably would have been much worse for her had she not gotten vaccinated.

by FatFreek 2005 inwe've probably all heard it, "i wish i could get the covid and that way it would be behind me", as if it were some annoying rite of passage.
"sure, i'll lose my senses of smell and taste for awhile, i'll lose my strength for awhile", etc.. what else could be the reasoning for ignoring the social distancing to attend maskless parties and similar large group gatherings?.
however, looking at the following xray images of certain lungs may help impress some folks into thinking that there are more serious happenings in the attack progression of this virus.

It has long been observed that "success has many authors", and this is certainly true in the case of the development of vaccines for COVID-19.
According to www.hhs.gov/coronavirus/explaining-operation-warp-speed
- AstraZeneca received USD$1.2 billion to "support manufacturing and delivery" of their vaccine.
- Pfizer / BioNtech received USD$1.95 billion to support the "large scale manufacturing and nationwide distribution" of their vaccine.
Further, though, in June of 2020, BioNtech also received a 100 million Euro loan from the European Investment Bank, followed by a 375 million Euro grant from the German government - all to assist its R&D of a COVID-19 vaccine.

one person may strongly feel that something is true while someone else may present “facts” that support the opposing view.
when that is the case, healthy discussion is mostly productive.
