We aren’t here talking about “any other sport”. Rather, we are talking about the more extreme ultra distance events, often held in extreme conditions (for example, the Spine race in England is as much a survival contest as it is an athletic event).
The longer the distances covered by these extreme ultra events, the more level the playing field becomes between men and women - and also more “anomalies” there are that start to appear.
THAT is something to ponder about.
