  Denmark and other countries are discontinuing the vaccine mandates because of the adverse effects.

  Some further explanation is here called for about the situation in Denmark.

  In late April of this year, Denmark paused (but not cancelled) its vaccination program. This move had nothing to do with any adverse side effects of the COVID-19 vaccines. Rather, it was felt that with the arrival of springtime, plus the already high levels of vaccination in that country, there was little purpose in keeping the program going through the spring and summer period. However, even when that move was announced, the Danish Ministry of Health mentioned that the program would likely be resumed in the autumn of this year - at least for those 50 years of age and over.

  This is in fact what subsequently did happen, according to a recent announcement from Denmark's Ministry of Health, (dated 13th September 2022).

  Note also that this revived immunisation program is not limited to the 50+ age group - at risk individuals who are younger than this are also included.

  Another thing to note is that while Denmark did cease offering the Moderna MRNA.0 vaccine to those under 18 years of age, it still continued its use of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine amongst that age group.

  There has been no blanket ban of COVID-19 vaccines in Denmark, as some reports may have suggested.

  Sadly, things seldom turn out like that, and all too often the bad bastard is the one who comes out on top.

  many people are following a lie, and are heading to a lost eternity and do not know it.. my question here is... are you saved?

  don't understand....but this crisis in ukraine seems to be getting out of control....i mean, everybody knows how to start a war..... by the way, as always, people at the borg are having a field day.....

  I don't think that the current situation in the Ukraine can be compared to the Cuban Missile Crisis of 60 years ago.

  The issue then was not about a communist country on America's doorstep; rather it was about the installation of Soviet intermediate range nuclear missiles on that island. By contrast, an agreement was reached in the late 1980s (negotiated between Mikhail Gorbachev and George Bush) to completely withdraw all intermediate-range nuclear missiles from Europe. Furthermore, that was accomplished by the early 1990s.

  Even if the Ukraine were to join NATO, it would not mean the installation of nuclear missiles in that country.

  (Anyway, NATO already has three members - Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia - who share common borders with Russia. Are nuclear missiles installed in those countries?).

  As a casus belli, I think this one is something of a red herring.

  Early on, I lived in a district which featured a large number of Brethren, Pentecostals, and some who were a mix of both. “Are you saved?” was a common question.

  I am sure they believed it to be a loaded question to throw at the JWs.

  i was under the impression that it was going to be a short war, that russia’s military would indeed subdue ukraine’s forces quickly but that is not happening.

  seems that russia’s military power is much less than it’s reputed to be.

  no guess how it will all end..

  At the risk of repeating myself, “Finlandization” of the Ukraine is the most likely outcome of this war.

  The country will likely retain control of its internal affairs, but will have to follow Russia on all matters of foreign policy.

  (After also having surrendered a significant part of its territory).

  There are parallels:

  In the “Winter War” of 1939-40, Finland punched well above its weight. However, in the end, it was the Russian juggernaut which prevailed. By the time it was all over (late in 1944), the Russians had had sufficient of a bruising that they did not attempt to occupy Finland. Instead, a rather punishing treaty was negotiated.

  (Similar, too, to how, in the days of the Indian Empire, Britain dealt with Afghanistan. After a number of inconclusive or even humiliating military escapades, they did not attempt to annex the country. Rather, more subtle means were adopted to influence events).
