Start of the Great Tribulation will be announced soon

at the 2021 annual meeting, samuel herd revealed new light and claimed the anointed will all have passed away before armageddon.

it has since been revealed that while they will die before armageddon, there will be some anointed still around that will witness the start of the great tribulation.. so the question is, how many years until the existing members of the governing body have passed away?.

im not a doctor, but based on their age and various stages of obesity, im thinking 10- 15 years- give or take, sounds about right.. with that in mind, the great tribulation could be announced any day.. the new understanding has now freed the org from the burden of having to identify a particular generation in relation to the date of armageddon.

The term "The Great Tribulation" comes from Revelation 7:14.

What is the context? John was watching a scroll being opened one seal at a time.

The 2nd, 3rd and 4th seal tell of horsemen that bring great tribulation to the earth.

The 5th seal is about the 144,000.

The 6th seal tells about a great crowd that survive that great tribulation.

What tribulation? The one that is being described to John in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th seals of that scroll.

Yes, those horsemen are the cause of "the great tribulation."

And when did those horsemen ride? From 1914 onward.

We are living in the great tribulation. It is not a future event.

Christ tells us what conditions will be like when Armageddon strikes:

(Luke 17:26-30) Moreover, just as it occurred in the days of Noah, so it will be in the days of the Son of man: 27 they were eating, they were drinking, men were marrying, women were being given in marriage until that day when Noah entered into the ark, and the Flood came and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise, just as it occurred in the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building. 29 But on the day that Lot went out of Sodʹom, it rained fire and sulfur from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 It will be the same on that day when the Son of man is revealed.

That is not describing a world reeling from great tribulation. The first horsemen rode at the beginning of the last days. The fourth horseman is relegated to a certain quarter of the earth. (Re 6:8) Not a fourth of the earth as in every fourth house on your block, but "the fourth part".

What quarter of the earth? Probably the same part of the earth mentioned when the sixth angel blew his trumpet where angels were untied: The area around the Euphrates river. (Re 9:14, 15)

And what has been happening in "the fourth part of the earth" surrounding that river here at the end of the last days?

Billions to die at Armageddon?

The Revelation Grand Climax book says this:

[re p. 6 par. 5] God’s Word gives the happy assurance that only wicked opposers of God will be destroyed—by forces under God’s control.

And in the Reasoning book this is the definition of wickedness:

[rs p. 427] Definition: That which is very bad morally. It often denotes that which is injurious, malevolent, or destructive in influence.

Satan is even called "the wicked one." (Jn 17:15)

The wicked are the worst of sinners and are happily so. (Pr 21:10; Isa 26:10; Ro 1:29, 2Pe 2:13; Re 9:20, 21) In contrast, when a righteous person sins (commits a wicked act) they feel shame and regret, or at least can be moved to feel shame and regret. (Eze 33:14-16; Lu 15:7; 1Co 6:5; 1Co 15:34; Ro 13:11-14)

Christ says this in Matthew:

(Matthew 13:49) That is how it will be in the conclusion of the system of things. The angels will go out and separate the wicked from among the righteous.

Only the wicked will be destroyed at Armageddon!

Russia is not the king of the north (Gog of Magog). Turkey is. There are plenty of scriptures to back that up:

As a quick reminder, here is our official list of the kings of the north starting with the Roman Empire being number six per Revelation 17:10, 11.

6) Roman Empire (not conquered by Germany)

7) Germany (conquered, in part, by the USSR)

8) USSR (disbanded)

9) Russia and its allies (today)

10) UN (Wild Beast)

Here is that list with the 7th king being the nation that conquered the Roman Empire:

6) Roman Empire (conquered by the Ottoman Turks)

7) Ottoman Empire (which is Turkey and is still in power today north of Israel)

8) UN (Wild Beast)

Remember: Revelation 17:10, 11 tells us that there will only be seven kings, and then the wild beast (UN) makes an eighth king.

Interesting Facts

Rev 1:11 - The 7 congregations in Revelation were all in Turkey

Rev 2:13 - Satan's throne (in the day of our lord / today) is in Pergamum, which is in Turkey

Rev 9:14 - The four angels bound until their set hour to kill a third of the people "are bound at the great river Euphraʹtes." That river begins and has about 1/3 of its length in Turkey before it travels south though Syria and Iraq and then empties into the Persian Gulf.

Ge 8:4 - Mt Ararat, where Noah's ark came to rest, is in far eastern Turkey.

Ge 10:2 - Four of Noah's grandsons (Goʹmer, Maʹgog, Tuʹbal, and Meʹshech), the same ones spoken of in Ezekiel 38:2-6, took up residence and became four nations west of Mt Ararat, in Turkey.

This good news of the kingdom

growing up around the faith, whenever i heard something taught, i'd always think there is a different way of looking at that, probably better.. we always hear "this good news of the kingdom will be preached... " matt 24:14.. so i think, is there more to it than preaching the kingdom?.

luke 17:21 the kjv and asv says "neither shall they say, lo here!

The good news of the kingdom was targeted at the poor.

(Matthew 11:5) The blind are now seeing and the lame are walking, the lepers are being cleansed and the deaf are hearing, the dead are being raised up and the poor are being told the good news.

(Luke 4:18) “Jehovah’s spirit is upon me, because he anointed me to declare good news to the poor. He sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and a recovery of sight to the blind, to send the crushed ones away free,

(Luke 7:22) In reply he said to them: “Go and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind are now seeing, the lame are walking, the lepers are being cleansed, the deaf are hearing, the dead are being raised up, and the poor are being told the good news.

Why was that? Because status was a big part of life at that time. Everything they did revolved around their position in society, from a king down to a slave, with most holding the lower positions. Personal status permeated society and was deeply ingrained in each individual.

The more wealth a man had, the more respect and honor he was deemed to have, both on earth and in heaven. That is why they were "greatly astounded" when Christ informed them otherwise. If it would be "easier for a camel to get through a needle’s eye than for a rich man," who they considered to be the very best in their society, "to enter the Kingdom of God." It's no wonder they asked: "Who really can be saved?” (Mt 19:23-25)

That is why "the good news" was not given with the middle and upper classes in mind, but was "good news" told to "the poor". (Mt 11:5; Lu 7:22) The "good news" they received was not about everlasting life or the end to sickness (though it included that), but was about a future where they would be lifted out of poverty and no longer be the lowest people in society and subservient to others.

What will happen to wealth "in the coming system of things"? Money and riches will have no meaning in paradise.

What will happen to poverty "in the coming system of things"? The poor will have the same reward as everyone else: Houses and brothers and sisters and mother and father and children and fields, and everlasting life. (Mr 10:30)

The attitude that the Israelites displayed toward one another in their cultural structure was not very friendly. (Pr 18:23) An arrogant "I'm better than you are" attitude was a requirement to remain in a higher status. That is why Christ had to give them a "new commandment."

(John 13:34, 35) I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are my disciples—if you have love among yourselves.”

A loving attitude for all others would be so new and unique among the Israelites that it would be an identifying characteristic of Christians and make them stand out as different from everyone else.

Knowing this mental attitude of people at that time also helps us better understand why the apostles reacted the way they did at Matthew 19:13 and Luke 18:15. They thought they were protecting Christ's status. And since he was their leader, theirs as well.

Jesus promoted equality:

(Matthew 10:24, 25) “A student is not above his teacher, nor a slave above his master. 25 It is enough for the student to become as his teacher, and the slave as his master.

"In the coming system of things" the rich and the poor will "be" as each other. All will have equal abundance in paradise. (Mr 10:31)

"This good news of the Kingdom" was very "good news to the poor".
