  jws are scattered across the globe.

  a few million people left, pretty isolated from each other.. telephone lines and power goes down since the people who supported the infrastructure are dead.

  communication across town, state, country, etc is cut off.

  i have seen some discussions related to the "kingdom" book, and the recent studies, but, i didn't see the one pertaining to the second chapter of the "kingdom" book.

  i may have missed it.

  JWs have such a low bar for what passes as proof that these statements make perfect sense to them.

  Well I predicted there would be a political change in the United States in November 2016. I just wasn't sure if it would be a female, or a male elected. Am I good, or what? I also predict that exactly one year from today, right to the exact minute that somewhere in the United States there will be snow on the ground. I'm just not positive of where, or how much.

  i saw this on reddit:.

  overall the numbers are better than last year (1.8% growth compared to 1.5% last year -- as i predicted ;-) ) with an increase in all major figures including 1300 more congregations (i assume this is not physical kingdom halls?).

  7,499 hrs to get 1 Baptizim..

  Another way of looking at that number is if that time were spent in productive full-time employment with a modest two week vacation period you would spend 3.8 years working and getting paid for your time. If it were only a one hour per week program it would take you 144.2 years. No wonder I got FedUp wasting my precious time!

  In other words, you have time to beg the LDC to let you spend some of your own money to install over-priced, unneeded audio video equipment, followed by months of begging the flock to GIVE MORE and then beating them for not ever giving enough.

  just wondering if anyone else has noticed that this forum site listing in google has dropped to number 6?.

  two days ago it was number 3.. i wonder why all the jay double u dot org listings are so rapidly moving up the list?.

  even noticed one that said something about jay double u dot org donations link..

  i started a thread on this guy's comments about building kingdom halls here.. the guy also said this (again, not a word for word quote, but the gist of his comments):.

  "the primary hope of salvation is the resurrection.

  jehovah does not promise anyone that he will survive armageddon.

Now, I don't want to discourage anyone - I hope to live through Armageddon, and I'm sure you do too. But the only thing that Jehovah has promised us is a resurrection. That is our primary hope of salvation."

  I heard the nearly identical comment from yesterdays indoctrination speaker. He mentioned that all the "faithful men of old" died without seeing the promises come true, but they will be resurrected, and so "even when we die we know we will be resurrected" and be in the new world...soon.

  They have now pretty well abandoned the idea that anyone can live through their Armageddon without dying.

  recently attended a special assembly day.. guest speaker was thomas chicky, a member of the us branch committee and the head of the us ldc (which has replaced the rbcs).. the last talk of the day is scheduled for an hour.

  it was the usual boring mumbo-jumbo.

  he appeared to have blasted through his hour-long outline in just about 45 minutes, so he "treated" us to informal comments on recent developments.. he commented on the new wt complex in fishkill ny.. then he dropped the bomb (well, to anyone with ears and at least 2 functioning synapses).. the following is not a word for quote, but presents the gist of his comments:.

  LOL JWs will pretend that they never said their was a huge need for Kingdom Halls in the US,

  Already happening. Some of the locals I am still on speaking terms with have said that there never was a claim for the need for thousands of halls, in spite of what one of the last broadcasts said.

  And this is why FedUp contributes not one penny anymore. Also when approached, beard and all, and asked if I wanted to "volunteer" to attend the training session for kingdom hall maintenance (that's now mandatory) I emphatically said, "NO! I don't need told how to clean a toilet. And I will not be doing any janitor work on the kingdom hall in the future!"

  Do you believe that Jehovah is using the Organization today?

  any elder has never asked me that question so far but i want to be prepared to answer that question if any of them ask me that question in the future.

  i hope that they will never ask me that question.

  any suggestions on how to answer that question would be very much appreciated.
