Going To The Meetings Because You Were Obligated To
by minimus indo you remember going to the meetings because you had to??
there were times when you were sick or definitely under the weather or perhaps you were exhausted physically and or mentally, and you were still required to go to the meetings!
even during inclement weather you had to go.

And meetings...you'd have all these flu ridden diehards there spewing their germs all over the place when they belonged home in bed.
On the bright side though...that gave US the perfect opportunity to show how "spiritual" WE were by then coming the next week hacking, sneezing, and blowing snot and spit flecks all over THEM!

circuit overseer's demanded that we still make a meeting even if the weather was treacherous!
Oh ye of little faith...don't you know that if you go out on roads, even if the government has decreed NO TRAVEL that if you are in a wreck it is only material property? At least you will still have your life in order to continue doing more in field service. And if you die...well there is always that promised resurrection..."soon"...
Did I cover the bases the Jdubs use as excuses for being stupid?

WTB&T$ just cannot let any opportunity go by without demonizing getting an education and a well paying job instead of being an illiterate, financially strapped leech on society.

How Are Ex Elders Treated In The Congregation?
by minimus inare they pretty much left alone?
are they respected for their having been elders at one time?
are they treated like crap?.

Most ex-elders are treated the way they themselves used to treat others while being elders
In the case of my father he lived by this manner of dealing with people *** it-2 p. 706 Proverbs, Book of *** "Mercy and truth are what he desires; these are more valuable than sacrifice." When he was booted off the body of elders for spending too much time taking care of my dying mother he instantly became persona non grata to the rest of the elders and the brown nosing punks. Too many in the congregation continued leaning on him for support and a kind hearing ear and "words spoken at the right time". The "little" men running the congregation were just too intimidated and hated being shown up for the unloving, judgemental, harsh Pharisees they were.

Do I Sit or Stand For The Anthem Now!?!?
by thedepressedsoul inmy conscience is so split now!.
if i sit, i am taking part in a political movement and getting involved in satan's system of things!.
if i stand, i am showing that i agree with satan's system and i am worshiping idols.. in all seriousness, witnesses loved this one because it made them "stand out".

On the other hand...
We seven popes in Warwick just LOVE to split hairs, and keep you poor, sorry sheep as confused as possible with constantly shifting explanations of what the Bible really teaches. Trust us, would we ever mislead you?

Why do I have this cartoon sequence in my head where a truck screeches up to a congregation group, unloads a generator, Big Screen TV, and DVD player, hooks it up quickly, plays the message, then, just as quickly, dis-assembles it all, loads up the truck, and screeches off....
Because just exactly like those cartoon characters the love, compassion, and empathy from the Warwick compound towards any R&F JDubya is make believe.

*** g 6/08 p. 11 When Is Self-Defense Justified? ***
On the other hand, what if a person’s life is threatened by an assailant? A law that God gave to ancient Israel sheds light on this. If a thief was caught in the daytime and was killed, the assailant would be charged with murder. This was evidently because thievery did not carry the death penalty and the thief could have been identified and brought to justice. However, if an intruder was fatally struck at night, the householder could be exonerated because it would be difficult for him to see what the intruder was doing and to ascertain the intentions of the intruder. The householder could reasonably conclude that his family was under threat of harm and take defensive action.—Exodus 22:2, 3.
The Bible thus indicates that a person may defend himself or his family if physically assaulted. He may ward off blows, restrain the attacker, or even strike a blow to stun or incapacitate him. The intention would be to neutralize the aggression or stop the attack. This being the case, if the aggressor was seriously harmed or killed in such a situation, his death would be accidental and not deliberate. So was this article BS? Or was this new QFR BS? Oh I KNOW...I KNOW...PICK ME. It's ALL BS!
I legally carry a firearm, and will not hesitate to use it to protect myself or family against any vicious animal, even IF that animal walks on two legs!
