Don't get me wrong, over the years there definitely were a few "gems" of human beings that were COs. They REALLY did care, and were decent people, but unfortunately, they were not the norm.

I have known a number of them. Without exception the ones I knew were used, abused, chewed up, spit out, thrown to the curb, and many are now just barely active Witlesses.

On the other hand, Psalm 119:165 says "Abundant peace belongs to those loving your law, and for them there is no stumbling block".

That is why I refer anyone who claims to be "stumbled" to this Bible verse. Then I ask them why they do not love God's law?

Except that means "the weak ones" end up determining the rules and policies of the community.

I now use the term "stumble club". It is a useful tool for the timid, the weak, the stupid, the power hungry to beat their fellow slaves with. The wicked fools!

The laziness of JW parents....

it struck me that the society has created a culture of lazy jw parenting.. rather than parents being there to guide and direct and help their children through all stages of life, the gb / society has become the "go-too" for everything.. if the child has an issue, there is a wt article for that.. does the child need help with something else?

ah, there is a caleb and sophia cartoon for that.. what about that other topic?

ah, there is a book for that.. so rather than being present parents, the average jw parent simply outsources their parenting to the organization!

I know so many that fell into this trap. As full grown adults, they struggle to make ends meet, are heavily in debt, have no savings, no health care insurance, no retirement, and no meaningful employment that provides some satisfaction.

Oh but wait...they do not care. After all as I have been repeatedly informed the Bible tells them that they will throw their silver into the streets, and their gold will become abhorrent to them. Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to save them. So it is there own fault that they are in that situation. I have ZERO sympathy for them. Besides we all know where to find "sympathy" in the dictionary...right between "shit" and "syphilis".

Some pin-head had to ask if it was "okay" to say dammit?

Several pages of comments on that. Geez these people are helpless. I swear they would all curl up and die if someone didn't tell them when to breath in and when to exhale!

If what was written in the 1932 Yearbook was an accurate presentation of God giving "his" people a new name, and if as it is written it was given to ANOINTED ones, then WTH are the rank and file called Jehovah's Witnesses if THEY are not anointed?

Either they screwed up then (not hard to believe) or they screwed up now. (Also not hard to believe)

i would like to sight some examples of a anal retentiveness of the biblical deity.. the garden of eden and the death penalty for eating a fruit, which by the way was passed on to all future offspring requiring an anal retentive jehovah to provide a suitable sacrifice of his only begotten son to correct the situation and thus make it possible for forgiveness from the big guy and remove the death curse.. working on a saturday= death penalty.

mandatory blue thread and fringes on all israelite garments.. death penalty for touching the ark of the covenant to prevent it from tipping over.. exclusive devotion only to be given to him, bowing to other gods/idols forbidden.. grows hot with anger and becomes violently enraged killing off all kinds of human and animal life with a flood when humans not living the way he feels is right.. threatening to tread on mankind like a mighty man crushing grapes under his feet when pissed off.. loss of self control when pissed off over insignificant trifles.

they talk about the year like it was just a short time ago.

I'd say that there are likely scarcely any individuals who were old enough to comprehend the significance of events unfolding in 1914 who are still alive, including JWs.

Ah, but lest we forget the Great Oracle FWF was alive then and did not die until 1992 (?). By that chart that Splane 'splaned" things with if one were to consider 14 years of age the age of comprehension someone born in as a JDubya in 1978 could possibly be part of the "over-lapper" class. And they could be "anointed" by H.S. (Holy Suggestion) of the current anointed ruling body, like the new kid on the block. If that happened they could be as young as mid to late thirties or early forties. That buys "this generation" another possible fifty years or more. Of course by then WE will all be dead, and no one else will be around to contradict whatever drivel THAT bunch of over-lapping over-lapping over-lappers will trot out as their definition of "soon".

Agreed. "Brazen" conduct is anything that does not fall into the normal "kiss-the-elder's-asses" JDub conduct.
