According to WT a child is old enough, physically mature enough, and emotionally mature enough to decide to make a life-long commitment at the tender age of six...so shouldn't it follow they can decide to fall in "love" and get married at seven or eight? Or be allowed to drink alcohol at that age? Or to enter into a loan agreement to purchase a home, or vehicle at that age? Or...well we all get the point. I just wish WT would get the point,...right up the a--!

by BluesBrother insuffice to say that i fundamentally disagree with the point of this article, a cynical attempt to boost numbers.

Do not blow a trumpet ahead of you....
by doubtfull1799 inthis latest video shows shot after shot of gb member mark sanderson helping/comforting/consoling/encouraging etc etc like he is some saint offering spiritual "gifts of mercy" - it seems that when mark decided to have himself videoed in this manner he forgot jesus words in matthew 6:1-4 .

Noticed that this was not REALLY about helping anyone. The last couple minutes they finally got to the point of this video...."We thought we needed $25,000,000.00 but really we need you to send us $60,000,000.00. The governing body "thanks" you for your generous support.
This video is no different than any of the other dozens of begging videos that other religious or secular organizations promote to garner income.
BTW is that Ruby being used as a video prop next to Breaux?

JW MATCH——Is this an acceptable site for JWs?
by minimus inhow does watchtower.org feel about this site for jehovah’s witnesses who want to find a partner?.
-
FedUpJW
Still does the Organization find this venue acceptable??
*** w06 3/1 p. 24 par. 9 “Keep Your Senses Completely” ***
Internet Web sites designed to help single individuals find a marriage partner are becoming popular. Some view these as a way to get to know people whom they would not otherwise meet. However, blindly entering into a relationship with a stranger involves real dangers. On the Internet, it can be difficult to distinguish fact from fiction. (Psalm 26:4) Not everyone who claims to be a servant of Jehovah really is. Moreover, with online dating, a strong attachment can develop quickly, and that can distort one’s judgment. (Proverbs 28:26) Whether via the Internet or by some other means, it is unwise to cultivate a close relationship with a person whom one knows very little about.A circuit overseer asked the question, "What web sites, other than jay doubleyou dot org, are approved of by the governing body?" His answer, "NONE!"
The local PO/COBE says he would not be surprised to see a directive from the g.b. stating that two people can only date after they have been approved to do so by respective elder bodies. Nothing would surprise me anymore when it comes to ratcheting down the control screws on JW's.

A female in the congregation I was at made the comment about the mother who wanted her child to wait in case they did something foolish, "The Bible tells us in Proverbs 22: 15 that foolishness IS tied up in the heart of a young one, so they WILL do foolish things as they grow up. But it also says that the rod of discipline will remove it. So how unloving the parents would be if they denied their child the loving discipline that disfellowshipping is from Jee-HO'-Vah!"
I kid you not, this b--ch basically said we gotta dunk them and disfellowship them to show then we "love" them!

IDK what is "special" about any of these meetings anymore. The way they keep hyping "special" reminds me of Charlie Brown ALWAYS falling for Lucy's claim that she wouldn't pull the football out from under him as he tried to kick it.

Do Witnesses Experience Racial Discrimination To Your Knowledge?
by minimus inmy experience in the kingdom hall was that racial discrimination and profiling was not typically practiced....that i know of.
i was in a diverse city with every type of skin color and nationality imaginable.. i’m wondering if the witnesses have changed due to the current affairs exposed by the media everyday.
are there discrimination issues in jw land??

Are there discrimination issues in JW Land?
IDK...Does the elder who would get drunk and then use every foul-mouthed expletive imaginable to graphically describe how he would castrate Black men, where he would shove the amputated appendage, and then burn the person to death as they screamed count?
He lives in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.

Today’s meeting and CO visit
by Addison0998 inthe meeting today was quite disturbing as usual and had to endure 2 talks by yet another egotistical, pompous co who gives talks like a hardcore southern baptist, but people adore no matter what crazy shit spews from their mouth.
today, he talked about jesus illustration about how if your eye or hand stumbles you, remove it.
he went into gory detail about how somebodies eye ball is pulled out from their head, and what it takes to cut someone’s hand off...perhaps even with a pocketknife...in front of many small children in the audience.

I wouldn't mind knowing who that C.O. is. But do understand if one does not wish to disclose the name.
As far as the WT about baptism I noticed a lot of references to CHILD baptism. And looking at the first staged photo from next week, the little girl playing with her stuffed toy can't be much older than four. I guess WT is getting the sheeps prepped for dunking even toddlers now. No wonder they see nothing wrong with pedophilia. Sick bastards!

Appointments
by asp59 inhow big you think the percentage of reaching out for appointments in organization is base on:.
a brother wanted receive praise from other'sb wanted to marry thought having appointment would make that possiblec wife push him if he was marriedd pressure from other'se a career pathf possibility to dominate/control othersg he wanted to have appointment cause of love and wanted to help others..
-
FedUpJW
Definitely A-C-F. I knew a few, very few, who were in the "G" category. They usually were NEVER appointed, or they were forced out at some time on the flimsiest of pretexts as the qualities listed there are diametrically opposed to what the WTB&BS society promotes in their "clergy".

Death
by Charles Gillette ini often wonder about death.
no one has any idea, do they?
people have speculated since the beginning of time but each original concept of the hereafter as been absurd as the one before.

Death = nothing. Were we "alive" before we were born? No. Will we be alive when we die? No.
