My congregation is something else!
by nowwhat? innot only do they want everyone dressed up for the zoom meetings( which i won't do) they decided to keep the zoom meeting at 1pm sunday!
so they don't upset their spiritual routine!

I've heard of some congregations holding meetings for field service via Zoom on Saturday & Sunday.
Yep, every morning except Tuesday; that's when they have to have all day to "prepare" for their meeting. I had to set it up for another family member, and on the connect to a meeting screen there is a field for ones name. I just put a period. Now they are trying to figure out who has the black screen (no camera) with only a white dot in the middle.

Exactly! I did ask an eldurr about Acts 5: 29, and he replied, "But this is different." No explanation of WHY this wold be different than any other guideline or rule telling JDubs to quit preaching. I also asked about their time worn scripture Hebrews 10: 25 they always used in order to beat Dubs who missed meetings. Not forsaking our meeting together, as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the more so as you see the day drawing near. No answer to that one.
Then I asked him if they should just go in the public service, hold the meetings, and see if God would bless and protect t hem after all doesn't the Bible say that God said, "test me out, please, in this regard,” Jehovah of armies says, “to see whether I will not open to you the floodgates of the heavens and pour out on you a blessing until there is nothing lacking.” -

they harped on the idea that only apps approved by the governing body should ever be downloaded or used by jdubs.
they said if they had not been featured in the litterature or specifically recommended by the governing body then jdubs should heed the warning and avoid them.. i guess they are, as we all suspected, very afraid of what the dubs will find out now that they have to use only electronic devices for their "food"..

Beware of Apps! They harped on the idea that ONLY apps approved by the governing body should EVER be downloaded or used by JDubs. They said if they had not been featured in the litterature or specifically recommended by the governing body then JDubs should heed the WARNING and avoid them.
I guess they are, as we all suspected, very afraid of what the Dubs will find out now that they have to use only electronic devices for their "food".

latest status is that it's serious, probably isn't going to be contained and most large companies are making contingency plans, cancelling large events etc... which i don't think would happen if it was just people being alarmist.
the incubation period means it may have already spread further and infected many more people than are currently known, so expect jumps in the numbers over the coming days and weeks.. tracking.

I suffered the same thing late December. Lasted about two weeks with another nearly three weeks until I felt back to normal. If it were the COVID-19 it is good to have had it, got over it, and now can move on with doing what must be done around the place now that weather is getting so nice. Don't need, or much want, to go out in public. So I will enjoy home.
BTW...if anyone is REALLY hard up for toilet paper I could be persuaded to sell my supply for one-half of what I paid for it. It is only used on one side. (insane laughter)

Well when they believe that all the money is going to be thrown into the streets anyway, I think they will double down on giving money thinking somehow that they can buy their way into "paradise". They are "reminding" everyone that, "even though we are not meeting at the Kingdom Hall we still have bills to pay, as does the world-wide work. So use the online donation provision." I hope I am wrong about donations and they get NOTHING!
