  What Do You Think Of Fining People For Not Wearing A Mask?

  some towns in massachusetts are fining people 1000 dollars for not wearing a mask 😷 outdoors.

  starting wednesday, the governor mandates everyone from 2 years of age up, must wear a mask or get a 300 dollar fine!.

  of course some governors are recommending that you rat out anyone that doesn’t follow their orders.. i don’t like it!👎🏿.

  But the U.S. CDC says, "Cloth face coverings fashioned from household items or made at home
  from common materials at low cost can be used."

  Just hearing at this very minute some idiot elder yapping about masks. His words, "That instruction to always wear masks and gloves if we are outside came from Jehovah! And was transmitted to us from "The Slave"! We have to listen and obey them! If we don't we are showing disrespect for Jesus "Slave" and for the love of the Governing Body" who cares for us.

  That B.S. statement alone is enough to make me refuse to wear any damned mask or gloves, if there had been any question before.

  Brainwashing left a stain

  hi one of my jw parents died recently of old age , after decades of brainwashing of the dead are just a sleep and if we are good we would see them again in paradise .. i fully understand now you have one life and should make the best of it but finding it difficult at the moment to get my head around it .. it's just a bit of a rant but your the only ones that i can try and express how i feel and be able to understand after the years of brainwashing how it affects my thinking process.. thanks for any help and advice..

  athiests face reality

  I am not an atheist, but having both parents die in the last three years I know, without a doubt, there is nothing else. No heaven, no hell; just a 3'X3'X6' hole in the ground.

  I admit I think there is a God, but God doesn't care about this speck of a planet we call earth, and he cares even less about us as puny humans. That's why we must make the most of this life. It's all there is!

  The old time JW's that I knew, if they were still alive, would be blown away by how much the doctrinal based lines have been blurred.

  I've commented before about what my mother said towards the end of her life before the dementia took over. She was baptized in 1942, and said shortly before she died, "If Jehovah's Witnesses were THEN what they have become NOW, I would NEVER have been baptized as one!"

  my wife is getting regular emails from the cobe ... you know we have the truth, the world is in the dark, we're special, hang in there, read this encouraging watchtower ... blah blah blah ... just wondering if these are coordinated from org.. recent mass email example .... " .... an excellent watchtower article in the july 2020. it is entitled “be convinced that you have the truth”.

  the scripture is from 2 tim 3:14. we are to continue in the things we have learned and be persuaded to believe.

  reflect for a moment what appealed to you about the truth which drew you to jehovah.

  Not sure who would vote down the facts presented by "boots on the ground" doctors with the credentials to address COVID-19 in an educated way. But if you are THAT afraid, please, by all means STAY IN YOUR HOME AND DON'T COME OUT! Let the rest of us live our lives as free, educated, self-responsible people. And NO I am not saying COVID-19 is not contagious. It is NOT though serious enough to willingly throw away all our rights as live as slaves of well paid politicians and their useful tools in the media or intellectual fields.

  The purpose of conversion testimonies and stories

  a hunch has just struck me.we get frequent accounts in the literature and videos of people whose dysfunctional lived have been turned around by studying with the jw's and coming to belief in the org (sorry, jehovah).

  evangelical type christian groups also use similar testimony stories.here's the hunch:the purpose of these is quite different among jw's compared to other religions.other groups use these testimonies primarily to persuade non-believers.the jw's use them to reinforce the beliefs of those already in the "truth.

  Exactly as RTN above stated. I personally knew several who told their lies "experiences". The last one happened to be on the JW TV channel. I was 95% fabrication. Lies by a circuit oversneers wife.

  US Letter Read Sunday 4/26 at Meeting - No KH Use and No Field Service Indefinitely

  there was a letter read sunday at our meeting that mentioned some parts of us are starting to open back up.

  however, regardless of things opening up that no kingdom halls should be used for any meetings of any kind.

  also, no door-to-door ministry or any form of in-person ministry is allowed.

  Yes, that is exactly the announcement I heard too.

  This sentence is what a friend (not very sure of that anymore) used as their excuse to continue to stay away from everyone except during ZOOM "meetings": To the extent possible, it is recommended to stay at home, to maintain social distancing, to clean hands frequently, to wear face coverings in public settings, to limit physical contact with older and high-risk publishers.

  Are they going to pull the one and only GT card and say stay in your interior rooms?

  The same friend said, "The Branch has told us to stay at our homes, and NOT go out."
