Yeah, I have heard the elders yapping along on that ZOOM app about how thankful they are that "The Slave" has provided, "just the food we need in these critical times of disease and danger,"; and that by, "isolating ourselves and staying away from public, and not going to each others homes if they are not immediate family we show that we are obedient to Gee-HO'-Vuh."

i have known many elders who were much more into the idea of being an elder and getting all the old ladies to tell them what wonderful talks they give and the power then really being a believer.

An interesting interview. Not saying I support, or do not support what this doctor claims. My personal opinion though is that while the COVID-19 is a serious, and likely very contagious virus, and we must take reasonable precautions to safeguard our own health, it has been politicized by those who would use it to promote the curtailing of individuals rights a free citizens. Once politicians have tasted the power of using fear and panic to control the population while claiming it is for the good of society they will not willingly give it up.
some towns in massachusetts are fining people 1000 dollars for not wearing a mask 😷 outdoors.
starting wednesday, the governor mandates everyone from 2 years of age up, must wear a mask or get a 300 dollar fine!.

Just hearing at this very minute some idiot elder yapping about masks. His words, "That instruction to always wear masks and gloves if we are outside came from Jehovah! And was transmitted to us from "The Slave"! We have to listen and obey them! If we don't we are showing disrespect for Jesus "Slave" and for the love of the Governing Body" who cares for us.

hi one of my jw parents died recently of old age , after decades of brainwashing of the dead are just a sleep and if we are good we would see them again in paradise .. i fully understand now you have one life and should make the best of it but finding it difficult at the moment to get my head around it .. it's just a bit of a rant but your the only ones that i can try and express how i feel and be able to understand after the years of brainwashing how it affects my thinking process.. thanks for any help and advice..

I am not an atheist, but having both parents die in the last three years I know, without a doubt, there is nothing else. No heaven, no hell; just a 3'X3'X6' hole in the ground.
I admit I think there is a God, but God doesn't care about this speck of a planet we call earth, and he cares even less about us as puny humans. That's why we must make the most of this life. It's all there is!

I've commented before about what my mother said towards the end of her life before the dementia took over. She was baptized in 1942, and said shortly before she died, "If Jehovah's Witnesses were THEN what they have become NOW, I would NEVER have been baptized as one!"

" .... an excellent watchtower article in the july 2020. it is entitled “be convinced that you have the truth”.
the scripture is from 2 tim 3:14. we are to continue in the things we have learned and be persuaded to believe.
reflect for a moment what appealed to you about the truth which drew you to jehovah.
