Governments are starting to remove restrictions...when this happens the JWS will rejoin and the Fear, Obligation and Guilt and will be reinserted.
Actually they have gone all in with the instructions from The Branch (said with echo and heavy reverb) to continue remaining in their homes, avoid any social contact with anyone not living with them in their own homes, only go out for bare essentials and then as few times as possible, instructions on how to wash your hands, and generally treating the "sheep" as if they were as stupid as literal sheep.
They still use the F.O.G. though to try to force the R&F to OBEY secular guidelines that The Branch has made into orders from Gee-HO'-Vuh, and that the JDubya's do not follow the worlds lead in taking advantage of eased restrictions.

They start off with the "It is up to each family head" BS, then proceed to make guidelines into rules that if you break them you are not obeying Gee-HO'-Vuh. I just give them a base-ball bat look and walk away.

Repercussions for sexual immorality

i became involved with a co-worker a few years ago, she was fairly aggressive and she initiated a physical relationship very quickly.
at the time i did not know she was married and a jw.

Meetings disrupted due to zoom outage
by Fadeaway1962 inzoom been down in parts of the uk today so church services and meeting been disrupted.. a news paper published some comments and jokes about it .
"looks like the church broke the internet".

Midweek Meeting looooooooong prayers.
by Davros inone thing that aggravates me is long concluding prayers, especially at the midweek meeting.
you work all day, rush home, grab a quick bite, dress up in meeting clothes.
then, go to the meeting.

I think there’s an argument for actually encouraging smoking.
I agree, as a matter of fact I think that smoking should be compulsory. And a minimum amount of tobacco used per day should be imposed. The benefits of population control outweighs any drawbacks.

Weekly Meeting Importance Being Reduced - Your Thoughts?
by JWTom ini am pimo, but now have 40+ years of being a jw as i was raised in a 3rd generation family of witnesses and continue to fake my way through things - fading as i can.. for the vast majority of my time as a jw, the meetings were the central focus for all jws to get teaching, association, information and so on.
nothing was more important than being at the meetings!
over the last 20 years starting with the elimination of the weekly book study in homes and continuing down to today - my opinion is that the value/purpose of the weekly meetings continues to be diluted or minimized.

I think they've got the JWs afraid of their shadow with COVID to go beyond their back door.
Oh heck yeah. I am still being called every day to "check how you are doing". And when I say I am doing fine I was at the grocer to pick up a few items, or I went to the hardware store for some needed household items; and no, I saw no one else wearing masks and face shields, Tyvek clothes and disposable gloves and I was not either then I get the lecture every single call about how I must listen and obey "The Branch" because they are giving us Gee-HO'-Vuh's instruction for the COVID-19.

Yep, got a couple of those where I live, although I don't have to deal with them much anymore after I began my fade.
Always throwing "The Slave" into every comment somehow, as if that gives their comment special status or extra weight. Prayers that repeat the name Gee-HO'-Vuh over, and over, and over, so many times you get sick of hearing it. Always "humble bragging" trying to give the outward appearance of humility all the while becoming puffed up with pride.
