  Both think it would be a good idea to never go back to the KH.

  There are only a handful now, literally I can count them on the fingers of one hand, of JW's who speak to me anytime, anywhere; and I take every opportunity to promote the idea that the local KH should be sold as it sits empty and empty buildings begin the natural return to the ground from where the materials came from. Also the $$$ that are being spent for utilities etc could be "better used as dedicated funds elsewhere." At first they disagreed, now not so much.

  every memorial, much emphasis is placed on making sure that only the (self-proclaimed) anointed partake in the emblems.

  this year, however, the speaker at my wife's congregation presented it as an even more serious matter.

  he likened it to individuals in ancient israel who sought position of the priesthood despite never been appointed by jehovah.

  I heard pretty much the same exact wording. I had to sit and listen in as relatives were logged in. And being it was their home I had no choice. I am not sure about the outline, and I really do not care, but it is strange that what I heard was also heard elsewhere. At least I was able to spend much of the time watching their cat play with a piece of string.

  Get rid of your "unrighteous riches", give WT your money. Forget about a good education, you do not need one to wash windows until the day you drop dead. If you can, apply for every government hand-out you are able to think of. Buy a lot of paper, and pencils to scribble out 'letters' to strangers telling them to go to the WT web-site to get the rest of life's answers. And most important of all, and it cannot be repeated enough or stressed enough, GIVE WT YOUR $$$$$.

  ONLY if the sheep allow it. There will always be the ones who are fearful of their own shadow and cannot get through the day without something to worry about, and someone to tell them what to do to survive the thousands of things that could go wrong throughout the day. They are the same ones that will scream racist, sexist, misogynist, or every other ist they can come up with for anyone who is willing to stand on their own two feet, grow a spine, and tell the powers-that-be who first claimed fifteen days to flatten the curve, masks were not needed, yes they were, wear two, get injected with the ordered poison, continue to mask, distance, and hide in your basements for the rest of your lives to GO TO HELL!

  so are individual witnesses being told to prepare bread and have wine on hand for the zoom memorial?

  are they saying it’s “vital” or is it just a “suggestion?” .

  If they know that, why on earth would they buy something they will never use.

  Because the uber-dubs for some insane reason believe that you must touch the glass and plate. Before I started my fade I remember the congregation where I was the "servers" would pass the glasses and plates, then one would hand the glass or plate to the speaker who would promptly hand it back, then the servers would all sit down in the front row and the speaker would leave the platform to hand the glass and plate to the first server so they could touch it as they passed it and then the speaker would take it back to the table. The last time I heard anything about their new Zoomorial they are pretty insistent that to be an approved viewing one must also have wine and crackers in front of them so everyone can see that they have them.

  after you read the words of jesus in mark 2: 17, you will see that the contrast between the teachings of jesus and the governing body.. .

  you clearly read what's written in the bible, but the society is always twisting and bending scriptures to their benefit.

  If we spend a lot of time with that person, we will probably catch the same sickness.

  And THAT is why I listen to those few words of Rubber Face and why I have severely curtailed any association with any JW. I have found them to be spiritually sick, if not dead; and I certainly do not want to catch their fatal illness.

  most of the witnesses i knew never really talked about sex.

  whatever couples did was pretty much kept quiet.

  every once in a while a wife might complain to the elders or a friend that the husband is too demanding or even immoral because of the sex practices the husband wanted.

  Oh HELL YES!

  There was a saying when I was in my late teens/early twenties (not subscribed to by myself) that when it came to sex it was only permitted "On Thursday night, after 10:00 P.M., with the lights off, and using no hands...anywhere, no deep kissing, no oral, and ONLY in the missionary position."

  The only good sex I ever had was when I quit following the repressed orders of the JW's and began enjoying what is a natural need of life outside the JW religion.

  Will Governor Cuomo be the Next President?

  trying to put politics aside (even though that won't really work), but ny governor andrew cuomo is blowing the other politicians out out the water (orange man [trump] and the lizard [biden]).. i don't know if cuomo has a usb port in the back of his head plugged into a hard drive but the guy speaks, analyzes and talks coherently.

  the orange man always passes difficult questions to someone else.

  the lizard can't comprehend what the question is but tries to answer something.. cuomo comes out with facts, analysis and direction on what needs to be done.

  what is the most insensitive thing an overseer or elder has ever said and done to you?

  i have had many insensitive things said to me by some elders, but for some reason one self-righteous elder was always on my case.

  he didn't like the fact that i missed meetings, didn't like that i never went out in field service, that i didn't answer at the weekly meetings and he didn't like that i carried my books and magazines in my hands and not a service/book bag.

  Not something that happened to me, it happened to my dear mother several decades ago.

  She was in the back seat of an eldurrs vehicle in field serve us. He turned in the drivers seat to see my mother who was behind his wife and asked, "------ do you know what an apostate looks like?" When she replied in the negative he told his female dog of a wife to hand my mother a mirror so she could tell the car group what she saw in it.

  I did not know about this until shortly before she died, and that jack-ass was already dead. Otherwise I do believe he and I would have both been taken to the hospital. He, to get my boot removed from his rectum, and me to get it back!
