What you are hearing from anti-oil, pro green new deal lobbyists and leftist political pundits is a mix of half truths and distortions.

Vid obsession
by punkofnice ini'm interested in your thoughts.. the media tells us a lot of agenda driven propaganda.
you're hard pressed to spot truth these days.. however, i'm told that the rona is now just a rotten flu and not the plague we were originally terrified in to believing.
last time i heard it was down in the hit parade to 16th nasty health thing.. all the people and family i know that have had the rona, have been complaining it's a very crappy flu.

I read them and spent a lot of time not only explaining it to people but explaining how to use it correctly.
Good for you. A question though. If you reside in the U.S. did you also comply with this?
In the U.S., a written respiratory protection program must be implemented meeting all the requirements of OSHA 1910.134 including training, fit testing and medical evaluation.
I ask because in pre-retirement employment I often was required to work in hazardous atmosphere environments where the use of N95's at a minimum was mandated. I was also required to completely read that OSHA rule. A long, mind numbing read by the way. I still do not believe the average person will either read, understand, or comply with ALL the training, fit testing requirements, or the requirement of a medical evaluation prior to using N95's. Also of note, these are by design disposable, one time use respirators.
I still maintain these are more about control of the population, and less about safety.
However, if one feels better wearing one, by all means do so. Feel free to wear two, three, or more at a time if one feels that need. Just DON'T tell me I have to do so.

Did the fear work?
Yes, and very well. Regardless of what many people sadly believe, this was NEVER about the powers-that-be having the best interests of the population in mind. It was ALWAYS about control of the population.
U.S. Centers for Disease Controls tells us that the use of an N95 mask, which is designated a respirator, is required to assist in cutting down the spread of COVID-19.
And yet the manufacture of N95 respirators says this right on the box:
N95 is a disposable particulate respirator that is designed to help provide reliable respiratory protection of at least 95 percent filtration efficiency against certain non-oil based particles. This respirator is designed for use for particles such as those from grinding, sanding, sweeping, sawing, bagging, or other dusty operations. This respirator can also help reduce inhalation exposures to certain airborne biological particles (examples: mold, Bacillus anthracis, Mycobacterium tuberculosis), but cannot eliminate the risk of contracting infection, illness, or disease. The respirator incorporates 3M’s proprietary technology with advanced electrostatically charged microfiber filter media designed for ease of breathing. This respirator is compatible with a variety of protective eyewear and hearing protection.
WARNING: These respirators help reduce exposures to certain airborne contaminants. Before use, the wearer must read and understand the User Instructions provided as a part of the product packaging. In the U.S., a written respiratory protection program must be implemented meeting all the requirements of OSHA 1910.134 including training, fit testing and medical evaluation.
Now I wonder how many read those instructions, much less actually understand and follow them? My bet is ZERO! Oh well, as long as they comply and virtue signal how sheep-like they are I guess it is all good.

Miniimizing 'Punishment' - marrying a non-JW
by doasthouwilt ini’d like to marry my best friend of 30+ years, turned ‘secret’ girlfriend of 1 ½ years who is a jehovah’s witness, born into it, baptized and an active ‘pioneer’.
our marriage would happen prior to letting any of her jw friends and cohorts know that we are together.
once married she may simply come forward and ‘admit’ or we may wait until it’s found out – one way or the other, the reason for this marriage is not customary – i am hoping that by doing so she can avoid being ‘marked’ or possibly ‘disfellowshipped’ once our relationship is no longer a secret and due to our already being married at that point, there can be no notion from society elders about her ending the relationship.

Any JW can be disfellowshipped at any time for any reason 3 JW elders agree upon.
That's not hyperbole.
Those are the EXACT words my father, who was an elder truly deserving of the term shepherd said. He was pretty well hated by other "elders" for his realistic take on Da Troof.

I am hoping that by doing so she can avoid being ‘marked’ or possibly ‘disfellowshipped’ once our relationship is no longer a secret and due to our already being married at that point. What I’m most wanting is input on details on what sort of ‘punishment’ she may expect once our marriage is public to all and input on what society elders can and cannot do over willful marriage of a baptized JW to an ardent disbeliever.
She will be DF'd for the catch-all accusation of "brazen conduct" unless she manages to cry and plead for mercy, in which case the least that will happen is that she will be marked as unwholesome association and treated as if she were disfellowshipped until she has groveled enough, long enough to satisfy their vindictive attitudes. My question is, why do you either want to play by their rules?

We thus have no way of knowing the exact number of anointed ones on earth; nor do we need to know.
But were gonna count every last one of them anyway, and report that number claiming that any decrease is proof that the end is near, or that an increase is proof that the end is near and the last ones are being gathered in just before the end of the end of the end right before the real end.

unless the 'slave' guides them.
Whenever I happen to get in a conversation with PIMI JW's who use that term I Ask them why they do not refer to who "the slave" is? then I proceed to ask questions about what the governing body is telling them, and substitute governing body for "the slave" every chance I get. A PIMI friend told me I should not do that because it makes it sound like they follow men.
Everyone just has to touch the emblems like they have been poisoned and the emblems emit the antidote which is absorbed through the skin.
The same PIMI friend mentioned above has been getting pretty pushy about "returning" to Jehovah and coming to the memorial as it will be in person and, "We have missed seeing you." I gave what I hope was a noncommittal answer that I might. Then I told him that IF in fact I did I would not be touching the glass or plate as they were passed because I did not know what others may pass on after THEY touched them. He nearly blew a gasket claiming that I would be showing disrespect.

Am I Expected to Become One of Jehovah’s Witnesses if I Study the Bible With Them?

No, you are not obligated in any way. What you decide to do with that knowledge is up to you.
Do you see signs that the student is trying to obey Jesus’ commandments? Most important, does he want to become one of Jehovah’s Witnesses?
From the same WT is the rest of the quote: ". . .continuing to study with him would be like trying to give swimming lessons to someone who does not want to get wet! If the student . . . is not willing to make changes (Get baptized as a JW), why continue studying with him?
So YES, if someone "studies" with the JW's it is most definitely expected, if not demanded that they become a JW themselves.

@ Data-Dog 10 hours ago.
It would seem you've been reading my mail.
Perhaps being single, dating beautiful men and women, and going home to your own bed WITHOUT THE DRAMA, is the best option these days.
Not only "Yes", but "HELL YES!"
