  Are the teachings of JW—consistent?

  i would belief so but if you can point something out, it can be discussed.. i don’t mean what jw taught in the past that they later realized was not correct and amended.

  —unless you think and can show something like that is relevant.. i’ve spoken to a lot of believers from different religions.

  i don’t want to bash any religion here under this topic but their beliefs are inconsistent and their reasons are sophistry and made up and grounded on circular reasoning.

  Well isn't THAT special. And yet there were no JW's that could bother to visit my parents when their health failed and they eventually died mourning the fact that they had been cast aside by every single JW at their kingdom hall! And their address was only three properties away from the kingdom hall on the same side of the street! Those sorry-ass JW's couldn't even spare 5 minutes! Tori"s experience, if there really is a Tori which I highly doubt, is a lie!

  There is a reason for the saying, "God helps those who help themselves." We are on our own. If there is a God, he doesn't really care about any of us puny humans.

  Why do Jehovah's Witnesses attend so many meeting?

  ronald curzan ( helper to the teaching committee ) gives a talk on the real reasons jehovah's witnesses should attend meetings.

  it looks like the zoom meetings have softened up many witnesses.

  many are probably turning off their cameras and zoning out.

  That is a spot on description of the typical JW these days. There is absolutely, positively, ZERO love between those people! If it were not for irrational judgments they would have nothing to do, ever!

  Why do they attend so many meetings? Because they haven't realized that the hamster wheel is their life, and they haven't realized that there is something else to life than running on it.

  I just hope that people inside can make the difference between these two.

  They won't. I already had opportunity to get into a discussion with a rabidly PIMI JW about this. All I got back was, "Where did you get your information? Do you think the governing body is trying to hide one side of the issue? They wouldn't do that. When I read what you are saying in the Watchtower THEN I will believe it!"

  The main qualification to be an elder in in the south-of-the-waistline anatomy.

  I wonder if that would apply to a surgically altered female who was identifying as a male? Would WT throw away (Deuteronomy 22:5) 5 “No garb of an able-bodied man should be put upon a woman, neither should an able-bodied man wear the mantle of a woman; for anybody doing these things is something detestable to Jehovah your God.

  The use of "Stumbled" as a Control Technique.

  i thought about this when i read the expression in another thread, "someone was stumbled", they would never tell you who the person was, and simply used it to control you, or it got worse, some times it was "you might stumble someone" .. who were these stumbling loons of which they spoke ?

  not only was it a control mechanism, it encouraged you to not be your real self, ever.. i liked the response of one of my jw relatives to this, where they expected him to change the person he was, he said "these people accusing me are not perfect are they ?

  no, well then, they cannot expect perfection from me".

  Of course, as Punkofnice pointed out, it's the spiritually weak, not the spiritually strong, people who get stumbled.

  And those same so-called "spiritually weak" pissants who use the, "You're stumbling me" club as their method of control will be whining that "You must humbly forgive me for whatever I do that might bother you, and wait on Jehovah" as a get out of jail free card to do whatever the Hell they wish!

  Is he just too important to actually put his signature to this . . .?

  Although spending most of his adult life as a JW my father also was very high up the ladder of success in an international corporation with over 10,000 active employees and over 5 billion in revenue, third only to the CEO of the company. He said many times that the more important one THOUGHT themselves to be the more illegible their signature would be. I asked him what about the "it makes it easier to combat fraud", etc. statements. His response, "They are lying. They are either just too self-important, or just plain lazy to write legibly." He never had anyone attempt fraud with his very legible signature either in his business life, or personal life.

  When The SHTF.

  we have several non-jdub friends who are busy stockpiling foods and goods for the impending societal collapse.

  some are happy enough to be called preppers, others are not, but say that looking at the deteriorating condition of the world that it's only a matter of time before the shtf and they want to be prepared to protect themselves and their families when it happens.. contrast that to the jdubs who are actively telling people that the end of the world is coming, but aren't preparing in a practical way because they have been brainwashed by a "jehovah has always protected his servants" mindset from the gb at hq (who laughingly have no reason to be concerned because they're hoping for a quick getaway up to heaven when the jw 'end of the world' comes!).

  the most the average jdub has is a go-bag rucksack in case they have to quickly leave their house in the event of a natural disaster like a flood or a wildfire.. isn't it better to be safe than sorry?

  Except that two and a half year of plandemic lock-down has show beyond doubt that in practice they do not, and WILL NOT! These self-important group over-sneers have for the most part ignored the needs of their assigned group members from what my sources tell me. If they cannot be "faithful in what is least" how the Hell will they be " faithful also in much?"

  When the SHTF any JW with an I.Q. larger than their shoe size had better be ready and able to fend for themselves or be willing to accept the consequences of foolishly trusting men to take care of them.
