  LHG - Agreed. I too have noticed that now they refer to ELDER this or ELDER that, or GOVERNING BODY this or GOVERNING BODY that. They bleat about how many years someone pioneered, or they are from THE BRANCH. Or they are a CIRCUIT OVERSEER. I am fed up with listening to their "humble brags" every time they try to impress some poor schmucks with how spiritual or important they are. Reminds me of what was written in Matthew 6: 2 and how they fit that description to a "Tee".

  I don't think you are--but you don't treat me any different. Can't you prove to me that you are different with your words and attitudes? Must it always be abuse and bad words?

  Reminds me somewhat of the attitude my ex-wife had.

  She went on and on and on about how bad each of the previous men in her life had treated her, then said I was no different. I asked her what the one single common denominator was in EVERY LAST ONE of those relationships? When ANY woman (or man) accuse every other man or woman of treating them in a bad or abusive way, or they accuse a different political party of bad/abusive/racist/etc. behavior, they had better look at the common denominator. THAT is where they will find the problem, if they are honest.

  I have been told that several times from a number of still in JDubs who are trying to jump-start me back into the congregation. They all say the same thing. Someone from "The Branch" (said with much reverb and echo LOL) said that the COVID-19 is the "soft start" of the great tribulation. They all seem to be giddy about that alleged comment.

  Oh yeah, they "witness".

  A POMO friend stopped by to visit yesterday and mentioned how they were pleasantly surprised when one of the JDubs they used to be pretty close to called then on the phone and sounded like they just wanted a friendly visit. After just a few polite pleasantries the caller got to the real point of their call, "This is the end, this is the start of the great tribulation, we miss you, come back, ZOOM is the latest greatest invention to show us how much the governing body love us".

  They told the caller, "Thanks, but NO THANKS!" and they told me they were pretty irritated that someone was using them to make time on a monthly report.

  does anybody know what this message will contain ?

  is it designed to provoke a response that will bring persecution on the religion ?

  or is it just going to be some meaningless weak campaign to get the rank and file all excited about it and achieving nothing.. or is it going to suggest to the government officials that this mob could very well be the next jonestown /wacol incident and we need to act now.

  I would say Yes, and Yes. They want a reaction so bad they can taste it, listening to the few JDubs that still have any words for me. And I know that as mentioned by other preceding comments the "work" will be just more of the same old hamster wheel.

  Do You Think “Protestors “Should Be Able To Shut Down Bridges Highways and Hospital Emergency Areas?

  some believe protesters have the “right” to block main roads, traffic and other places simply because they have a right to protest something.. in la, two deputies were ambushed and shot in the head and as the ambulance tried to take the fallen deputies to the emergency room, protesters blocked the way chanting they wished the police would die!

  in nyc blm protesters blocked the george washington bridge and other major highways and streets to protest for their cause.. do you think this is acceptable?
