  the july 2025 watchtower has a paragraph that claims that it was the superior power and wisdom of jehovah that guided the gb into allowing jws to grow beards.. the study article is ‘can you still learn from basic bible teachings?’ under the subheading ‘jehovah is the creator’ paragraph 7 states-.

  All the JW males (I refuse to call them MEN) seem to now be sporting beards, no matter how unkempt and ragged lookiing they are. The term I bleieve was used earlier in this thread was infantilism, which describes these older in years males who are still emotional children.

  Can someone remind me the reason's you could be disfellowshipped?

  the only reasons i can remember are smoking, sexual immorality and of course, apostasy.

  there must be others but having been out since 1990, i'm drawing a blank.

  i was thinking perhaps serious criminal offenses that result in prison, but then i remembered a brother in my congregation in the 1980's who went to prison.

  As said earlier, you can be disfellowshipped for ANYTHING three elduhs can agree on; and if they don't have a specific charge they will lump in in under the "brazen conduct" term and boot your ass out.

  Special Talk just prior to the Memorial

  is it an attempt to get the faders back to the meetings?

  they present in a way like some new light is going to be presented at the special talk..

  It was "Special"! It was given on April 6th, not the 5th or the 7th.

  And there was the typical talk about, "ask anyone here for a Bible study" and "go to jw-dot-org" and "come to the Memorial."

  Something like this actually happened. Back when I was still in, a "sister" in the congregation was an R.N. at the local hospital. Without divulging any personal details like names she told of an emergency situation on one of her late night shifts. A man (non JW) had pressured his wife (also non JW) to fulfill his fantasy of anal sex. She agreed on the condition he FIRST satisfy one of her fantasies. It was to tie him up to the bed frame and use a sex toy on him. He agreed. She tied him up, went and got her hair curling iron, stuck it up his butt, turned it on, then left for the night. Screams summoned a neighbor who called an ambulance.

  this occurs in pregnancy when a mothers red blood cells are incompatible with her babys.

  Them as can, do. Them as can't, inquire of others.

  I can't believe they would delete all of his videos from the website if it were merely a heath issue from advancing age.

  All his videos were Removed.

  They haven't all been removed. There is at least 18 on their website. Repeating an untruth over and over does not do any of us here any favors.
