i was musing over this scripture at proverbs 3:27.

"do not hold back good from those to whom it is due , if it is in the power of your hand to do so".

this passage has often been used to show that if we have the means, or opportunity to do good, or to assist others in need, we should act.

JW's would sadly argue that we are fed through the Bible and the GB. And i wouldn't even know what to say to that... Im just too tired of all these faithbased claims from JW's everywhere.

sorry, i had no idea what to title this!.

i was speaking to a sister this week via email and i said i was appalled by anthony morris's recent talk in trinidad and tobago when he said if you haven't been in the ministry for two weeks god looks down on your hands and what does he see?

he sees blood and you will lose your life.

Reflecting On The JW Version Of You

lately i've been thinking over how far i've come over the last 2.5 years since leaving the cult.

when i first left i remember not knowing who i really was and what my beliefs and values were.

previously my values and beliefs were dictated to me the the governing body in watchtower magazines.. i'm politically active, being a member of a political party and i'm even considering running in my local election in a few years.. when it comes to religion, im an atheist who has little time for superstition and "god did it" answers to complex questions.

I remember my father once saying that "of course those who leave will feel better, because now Satan isn't bothering them". As Fred Franztone i never really had a jw personality either, unless you could consider my extremely guilt ridden (due to porn) and introverted 13-17 year old me as being jw. Now 19, i look back and see how i could never reconcile any of these doctrines, beliefs or interpretations we so often discuss with reality and common sense, which resulted in me being disfellowshipped for refusing to participate in shunning my best friends.

maybe the gb are clamping down on their "high-up" leaks within the organisation and the circuit overseers making these available have been kicked or had to no longer leak material for fear of getting themselves discovered by the wt gestapo..

two+ months into marital counseling for my wife (pimi) and i (pimo).

wife after decades of marriage decides for the first time to bring up separation due to, drum-roll please...... absolute endangerment of spiritual life.

a spouse may constantly try to make it impossible for the mate to pursue true worship or may even try to force that mate to break god’s commands in some way.

If she points to the Bible as her ultimate authority, then just show her 1 Corinthians 7:13 - as The Fall Guy suggested. Otherwise i can only extend my deepest sympathies - i am only nineteen, so i do not have that much experience with such matters. I do however know how it is to loose ones family, and even though they are still pimi, it breaks my heart almost daily not being able to have a "normal" relationship with them. Keep fighting, as long as possible.

This is just sad. Cant even get myself to laugh at it. I was 17 when i sat down and used my biology book and the internet to debunk the validity of Noah and his ark, including the idea of a global flood. Too late in my opinion, but better late than never. I suppose this is what happens when you only use the Bible to do "research".

Apparently the giving of "judgement messages" is not a theoretical scenario

i remember when the (in)famous "bunker videos" were releases there was some non-witness exposure on a few sites and most of them commenting on how scary and very culty it sounded and all the idiotic wt apologist were quick to point out that it was "only theoretical", "it's possible it could happen like that" and other assorted flavors of steer manure.. well apparently not so because i just sat through the upcoming convention videos, and review footage of the last assembly, watch the last two months worth of "meetings" (*vomit*) and studied up on all the recent new wt releases and all the talk being throwing around now is all on some gog of magog this, judgement messages this, judgement messages that, "we're about to get persecuted!!!

even the recorded baptismal talk i heard from the last assembly had a speaker that was telling the suckers....er...i mean the baptismal candidates to be willing and expect possible death, and to a good number of young preteen people i may add (outrageous!!!).

if successful, it will become the most powerful rocket in use (twice as powerful as the delta heavy).. as it's the very first attempt, elon musk has said he thinks there's a 50/50 chance of it not blowing up.
