Wonderful news about Iraq..NO NEED FOR WAR!
by freeman inwell it looks like we will be sending our troops home, as we dont have to worry about iraq retaining, creating, or using weapons of mass destruction anymore (wmd).
the iraqi dictator has sent a note to the chief u. n. weapons inspector informing him that he (has just now enacted legislation making wmd's illegal.
this wonderful news was announced by a gleeful hans blix just today at a televised meeting at the u.n.

Good on ya, Mate! another reason to admire the
by Makena1 inthe aussies!.
not sure if this has already been posted - if so - sorry!.
to kill an american.

Because Americans are not a particular people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom. Everyone who holds to that spirit, everywhere, is an American.
Gotta love it.
You probably missed it in the rush of news last week, but there was actually a report that someone in Pakistan had published in a newspaper an offer of a reward to anyone who killed an American, any American.
Scary.
Edited to add: Most people have nothing against the American people, it's always their choice of leaders and foreign policy that cause problems.

Narrow and cramped is the road leading ...
by whyhideit in"narrow and cramped is the road leading to life", right?
well with that quote, the witnesses have always justified the fact that they are still god's chosen people, even though they are not that large compared to other worldwide religions.
yet i was wondering something, if smaller is a sign of god's people, then how small is small enough.

Jehovah Wont Save your Butt
by LovesDubs ini was thinking this morning after having another plane crash dream ( i used to have them a lot just before 9/11, and then they stopped...and they just started again...so im worried) that since this isnt armageddon, becoming or being a jehovahs witness is not going to save anybody from getting their a$$ blown off or inhaling fatal bacteria released into the air.
they will die like everybody else will!
since this isnt gods war...what business do they have telling people that becoming a jw now is going to afford them protection?

Anybody who dies under this current set of circumstances, according to the JWs, good bad or indifferent, is entitled to a resurrection anyway
Not quite true. They still have that one unforgivable sin category, which pretty much covers anyone who disagrees with the organization.

Does the WT EVER Admit to being Wrong?
by UnDisfellowshipped incan the governing body of hypocrites ever admit that they are wrong?
the watchtower august 1st 1978 issue, page 3:.
can you admit when you are wrong?.
-
Sargon
The modern Watch Tower Publishing Corporation takes pride in admitting they are wrong. One of their core teachings is the position that a requirement for a true organization is their willingness to admit to making mistakes.
Unfortunately the willingness to admit to having been mistaken will never translate into redressing the problems created by their errors. You'll never see a story in the watchtower saying:
We regret to inform you that the people who DF'd the people who were DF'd have now been DF'd themselves.

George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, John Quincy Adams and other presidents were also born in the one country that later became known as Canada
This is all news to me. I would have thought most of these men were born in one of the 13 colonies. There wasn't much to English Canada prior to your American revolution. The area known as Upper Canada (now Ontario) basically became populated by the United Empire Loyalists following your revolution. It was the sons of these men and women who kicked American butt in the war of 1812.

Remember that old saying "Out with the old in with the new".But there NEW body(of spirit) that they have is very much conscious active an alive. They switched bodies so the old one is gone and dead but the new one is active has life.Makes sense doesn't it!!!!
You don't really beleive this crap do you? If you do I got a great deal for ya....
