  because it isn't logic at all.. daniel book ch.13 pg.292 p.11.. "the next two verses of daniel chapter 12 do even more to help us identify "the holy ones of the supreme one."...

  "the ones having insight will shine like the brightness of the expanse"..who are the ones having insight today?again the evidence points to the same holy ones of the supreme one.

  my biggest question about jw is regarding the 144,000 from revelations.

  how could john know exactly how many people were there?

  how did he know that they were representing the 12 tribes of israel?

  i was a photo journalist in the so cal area for fifteen years.

  i have seen/photographed many things.

  however, this story takes the cake.. bizarre details of man's death revealed.

  This isn't just bizarre, it's almost unbelievable, especially from a nuses aid. While reading it though I kept getting a creepy deja-vu, it reminded me of someone lying in a hospital bed being denied treatment needed to remain alive.

  there is a lady who stands outside our local shopping mall, right next to the jw's, with a sign warning against electronic mind control.

  she wears an old english army helmet, circa colonial days in india, presumably to protect her brain from harmful government generated electronic rays.

  no-one pays her any more attention than we do the dubs.. there is an organization that claims that for the last 50 years, governments have been using "electronic mind weapons" to:.

  There is an organization that claims that for the last 50 years, governments have been using "Electronic Mind Weapons" to:

  -gradually replace a targets naturalpersonality with a 'designer' personality

  -destroy the lives of several adults and children, some as young as 4,in the name of national security

  -these weapons are now available to the public

  These people even have a web-site: http://www.raven1.net

  I just hope the WTS never get ahold of these weapons. Think of all the money they would save, they could brainwash everyone without ever having to print another watchtower or awake.

  Another NWT Mistranslation?

  ok, this post isn't out to prove anything, other than i've got too much time on my hands, which alot of you know that already.. over my morning coffee this morning i decided to read the section of the bible dealing with nimrod and the tower of babel.

  i have two bibles at home the nwt and the new american standard.

  heres what th nwt says at gen 10:9.

  The question Gumby is, is he in opposition? not to what god he is in opposition to. I didn't mean to muddy this water.

  Gozz, I don't personally find David to be any more valiant, noble or divinely inspired than Nimrod. I dont beleive that Babylonian, Philistine or Edomite warriors are any more deserving of death than Hebrew warriors.
  Not all apostates are opposed to the death penalty being applied as you seem to be implying. In fact in my case I would be more than willing to pull the plug on those deserving of this fate, but thats a totally different argument.
  My using of the names Jehovah and Yahweh in my last post was to distinguish between the NWT version of the scripture in question, and the hebrew version. I'm not attempting to start an argument about names. Feel free to call your god whatever you like.
  As far as me being an a path, you are correct. I'm on the highway to hell, and I aint turning back.
  You said "if men are to be hunted, they must be so at the order of some higher authority". One thing to say to that...Heil Hitler...we were just obeying orders. Or is that Heil Jehovah?

  when caught red handed with 10 years of signed documents where your leaders swore to uphold and promote the interests of the very organization you have vilified as satan's instrument, you now say, "i don't see that as a sin.

  because you were caught?

  also, if the proof is only "supposed," then where's a solid rebuttal to that proof without the ad hominems and red herrings?.

  Gozz,
  I do not doubt that Nimrod was in opposition to your Jehovah, your NWT bears this out. The question is, is he in opposition to the Hebrew god Yahweh, as the scriptures don't appear to bear this out.
  As far as a hunter of men being in opposition to God is a debatable point. King David could be called a hunter of men. He not only killed them, he went on to desecrate their bodies by removing their foreskins. I guess this was pleasing to Jehovah.

  If 10 years is so insignificant to your God, then by your reasoning, the few minutes it took for Adam to partake of the forbidden fruit should also be insignificant in the sands of time to jehovah.
