  CO'S "encouraging" letter to circuit

  the point of the letter was how many are feeling disappointed these days.. no circuit assembly, convention, how we can't fellowship at the k.h.

  disappointed we might have had a love one die, etc etc.

  he then goes on to write about how disappointed jehovah must have felt when his first human creation rebelled.

  Before Corona meeting attendance was abouth 60% in many congregations. I wouldent be suprise if it get much lower now. If they even open up KHs.

  i was a jehovah's witnesses for 15 years (1983-1998) in pietermaritzburg and durban, south africa.

  i was baptised in 1985; appointed a ministerial servant in 1987 (aged 21); refused military service on religious grounds in 1989 (served a three year community service sentence) and was appointed an elder in 1993 (aged 26).

  i wrote to the governing body in brooklyn four times between 1992-97, respectfully questioning the nonsense they were publishing about science and evolution (you can see all my correspondence and their hilarious replies here: http://bit.ly/jw-md-letters ).

  Why do the Elders stress the importance of meeting attendance....

  why do the elders always stress to the rank and file members of the congregation how important meeting attendance is, as well as the importance of always paying attention to every word that's being presented from the slave?

  but then, during the meeting, they rarely sit and pay attention themselves to the wonderful spiritual banquet being presented?

  they always seem so busy, don't they?

  Weekly Meeting Importance Being Reduced - Your Thoughts?

  i am pimo, but now have 40+ years of being a jw as i was raised in a 3rd generation family of witnesses and continue to fake my way through things - fading as i can.. for the vast majority of my time as a jw, the meetings were the central focus for all jws to get teaching, association, information and so on.

  nothing was more important than being at the meetings!

  over the last 20 years starting with the elimination of the weekly book study in homes and continuing down to today - my opinion is that the value/purpose of the weekly meetings continues to be diluted or minimized.

  Dont really understand people that think org wouldent cansell meetings in fear of going under. People go to meetings to socialise . They dont give that much money to org. Org gonna get more money from selling buildings then from JWs at KH. Either way they do things they gonna loose. But cansell meetings and selling buildings is gonna give them more money for the moment. Plus tv preachers have made millions. Think they can turn the online thing to money

  Lots of interested People visit the KHs and see how JWs are and never come back. To much internal fighting in KHs. Think org want People out in district to have as little Contact with JWs as possible . Preaching carts same reason

  have you heard many elders complaining about selling out of kh and having a online religion?

  i mean many elders have put years of visiting meetings and sitting there to have it all taken away now.

  reaching that position of elder for nothing .

  I agree with you there are lots of major changes they have to do. Well they know already holy Spirits is not leading the Org. But i think they dont care anymore. They seem to be please with benefits beig a GB member and thats it

  as 1440.000 are suppose to rule like kings they must also be an example of putting the fruits of the spirit in there daily life(charity, joy, peace, patience, benignity (kindness), goodness, longanimity (forbearance), mildness (gentleness), faith, modesty, continency (self-control), and chastity.).

  have you meet a gb member or other from the 144.000 in betel when you were there that you could easy see that this person wakes up in the morning and is determined to apply fruits of the spirit in there life?

  Heard the lastest in JW land? God commanded the Org to sell buildings in New York cause corona virus was comming. Lots of JWs see it as this is the true religion cause of that 🙃😊 Ofcourse no one been mentioning why no warning before spanish flu 1918 or terrorism 9/11. Many are truly brainwashed in this org

  Before cutting my hair my witness barber had to check with Bethel...really? Not a cult?

  i was balding and grey so i asked my witness barber friend to "just shave it all off" many brothers were doing the comb over which looked friggin stupid.

  but oh no in the 1990's this was rebellious he had to call a brother we knew at bethel to see if it was ok. we got his ok to go ahead but at the time i could help thinking about the no beard rule and how controlled and cultish we were..
