I dunno, those whiteboard animations are the closest thing to "entertaining" that they produce.
How's that for "damning with faint praise"?
well guess what!
they are using whiteboard animations!đł.

most of my friends have gotten the vaccines and are quite confident that itâs just what the doctor ordered.
iâm not confident with dr. fauci.
i donât like the fact that the makers of the vaccines are not held responsible if someone taking the vac develops an illness or even death.
the level of hysteria going on here.
Here? This site is merely a microcosm. Multiply it by 60 million or so and you get an idea of the level of hysteria in the whole nation.
we all know stephen lett's infamous quote that we're living in "the final part of the final part of the last days!
shortly before the last day of the last days.".
well, there is an interesting interview with larry graham and his family that has a variant on this, where he says that we're living in "the last of the last of the last days".
Closer than the inside of your eyelids!

anyone following the derek chauvin trial?.
if you are actually following it, not just listening to the media, you will likely realize that there is a huge gap between what is going on in court and what is being reported in the media.. if the trial was fair, i think he should be acquitted.
there is plenty of reasonable doubt about the cause of death (his dealer doesn't want to testify because he could be guilty of 3rd degree murder for selling him a fatal amount of fentanyl) and even doubt over whether the officer even had his knee on the guys neck or did anything counter to what they were meant to do as per policy.. but is it fair?
So you confirm, he was following correct procedure as per police policy.
He died from fentanyl.
I'm rapidly losing interest in rebutting bad faith arguments, but here is one more attempt before I go off and do something else.
âYouâre seeing here fatal injury to the brain from a lack of oxygen,â Dr. Tobin said.
The jury has heard repeatedly that police officers are taught that
restraining people facedown is dangerous. Dr. Tobin walked the
jury through exactly why, explaining first that simply being in the
prone position reduces lung capacity.
On top of that, a knee on the neck compressed Mr. Floydâs airway,
he said, and the weight on his back alone made it three times
harder than normal to breathe.

I see.
Lacking the ability to refute the arguments made by the expert witness, the best defense is now
Floyd was no angel
he died of a drug overdose
Chauvin's knee wasn't touching his neck the entire 9 minutes
Some people were convinced of the officer's guilt prior to trial, therefore....he must be not guilty?

<Sigh> This is tedious, and why I rarely debate this stuff anymore.
"Did you read the article"?
Quote from the article:
restricted Mr. Floydâs breathing by flattening his rib cage against the pavement
I don't know your personal anatomy, but my rib cage is not in my neck.
Repetition for emphasis:
His testimony may help prosecutors overcome the fact that the official autopsy report did not use the word âasphyxia,â and seemed to make irrelevant the exact position of Mr. Chauvinâs knees, which has come up several times.

did you actually watch the video?
Yes, I see photos of a police officer with his knee on Floyd's back & neck.
Curiously, quite consistent with Tobin's testimony.

photographic evidence that shows Chauvin's knee was across Floyd's shoulders.
Dr. Tobin said that Mr. Chauvin and other police officers had restricted Mr. Floydâs breathing by flattening his rib cage against the pavement and pushing his cuffed hands into his torso, and by the placement of Mr. Chauvinâs knees on his neck and back.

Well, so much for the "died by overdose" defense attempt:

It was a nice try though. A for effort.
whether they go back to door-to-door or not, what will be different?
do you think there will be a noticeable drop-off in attendance as we have read on here that many have left or faded?
will there be a mass selling of halls?
Echo on the meeting attendance drop-off.
I expect in-person meetings to resume with very limited capacity (20-30%) in the KHs for many months. Then, when finally full capacity is allowed, there will be a month or two of sparkling attendance.
Then, attendance figures will gradually decline to levels even below the 70-80% that was the norm pre-pandemic. The dreary grind of meeting after meeting after meeting after meeting.....(repeat 500 times) meeting after meeting after meeting will wear away the charm of seeing people in person again.
The WTS reaction will be perfectly identical to how they've reacted to every such "crisis" for the past 70-80 years - breathless articles and (well this part will be new) videos decrying "our lack of appreciation for spiritual things", screeching words about a "sacrifice of praise", Hebrews 10:24-25 will be used in multiple meeting parts nearly every week, COs will hammer elders, elders will hammer their field service groups, fathers will hammer their children, and...I dunno, children will kick their toys as the frustration mounts.
