When is this campaign?
Right now - the month of November 2021.
LOL - good to know this "special campaign" is every bit as effective as the lass 80 or 90 "special campaigns" they've held - 99.9% of the globe's population has no idea about it.
"the campaign will feature the distribution of a special edition of the watchtower magazine containing the cover series “a better world is near.”".
"more than 36 million printed copies of the magazine will be distributed in some 230 languages to communities in 240 lands around the globe.
in addition, the digital publication is available on various platforms in nearly 400 languages.".

the major topic of conversation was that almost all do not want to go back to the meetings and field service!
and we are talking very zealous and active witnesses!
.
Over on the JW Talk website, which is pretty vigilantly guarded against "apostates", virtually all of the posted comments related to meeting again the KHs is negative.
It's really surprising (1) that there is so much strong feeling against it and (2) that JW Talk permits it.
I echo SBF - the WTS is severely underestimating the resistance JWs will have to starting back up to a "normal" routine.

it`s not just around the corner , not soon ,but near.?
"Very soon now!"
142 years of "very soon now".
If it delays a few more centuries, I might have to consider the possibility that they don't know what they are talking about.
i live in a country that has had reasonably low levels of covid.
bearing this in mind i’d like to discuss my thoughts on 2 jw funerals i attended during this time.. (funeral 1) even though there were no governmental restrictions at the time, the official stance of wt was the halls were shut down.
despite this the local congregation decided to open the hall up for the service and a reception at a private premises.
The last few funerals I attended were far more "personalized" than in years past.
Yes, it's still primarily an infomercial, but they do seem to have progressed from "30 second biography followed by 30 minute Sunday talk" to something a bit warmer.
these interviews are popping up all over the country on local news stations.
you can tell that the interviewer is given questions and comments in advance.. https://youtu.be/hdmstvhhavo.
It's essentially a video press release. It's not just JWs who do this.
Consult the Umim and the Thumim.
other churches give kids ice cream.
.
I'm sure it's probably harmless, and I see your point, but....
A windowless van giving away free ice cream to kids? Sounds awfully sketchy.
I'd probably call 911 if this truck showed up in my neighborhood.
I'm quite sure Armageddon will come "very soon now", just as has been promised for the past 142 years (and counting).
I'm sure we're living in the last days centuries, ever since 1914, just like Jesus and Paul said.
After that, paradise! Where we all eat fruit. All day long. Picnic table after picnic table, piled high with wonderful fruit, fruit, fruit, FRUIT!
Rooty-te-toot, we got fruit! All kinds.
And petting pandas. Looking forward to the panda-petting.
so, i went and bought series one and series two on second hand dvd for one pound each.. i first saw series one of fawlty towers when i was about 11, then i saw series two a year later.. it's a little dated now, but that doesn't really matter because it's still making people laugh.
that's all comedy is.. there is one episode - the kipper and the corpse - which i think is a bit rough around the edges, it's not as polished as some of the other episodes.
but it still has some great lines in it, e.g.. the two old ladies: you're in a good mood today, mr fawlty.. basil: yes, well one of the guests has just died.
I think "Basil the Rat" is probably the funniest one, though they are all worth watching.
DVD? Ha! I bought the whole set on VHS tape!

you think they abouth to remove gb arragment?
more and more with gb talks, they seem to be saying goodbye to congregations.
maeby its part of downsize.
The system works well for their purposes. The GB (and their assistants and spouses) enjoy power, prestige, and a millionaire lifestyle (though not millionaires per se). They are adored, revered, and people fall all over themselves to give them costly gifts.
They are, effectively, the board of directors of the equivalent of a Fortune 500 company - which, by the way, pays $000 in taxes.
Why would they voluntarily give that up?
