These boneheads really are drunk on their own power.
the watchtower—study edition | february 2022. study article 6. do you trust in jehovah’s way of doing things?.
15 as the end of this system of things draws near, we need to trust in jehovah’s way of doing things as never before.
during the great tribulation, we may receive instructions that seem strange, impractical, or illogical.
This is next week's WT study.
These boneheads really are drunk on their own power.
i may have put this in the wrong thread.
if so, i'm sorry.. my conundrum is this.... i am almost completely certain that an awake back in the 80's/90's mentioned a group of rock bands we shouldn't listen to and i seem to remember them actually naming guns and roses.. i can't find anything now, and i'm wondering if it's the mandela effect, or if it's another case of the cdrom versions of the awakes being doctored again.. does anyone else remember this?
or am i crazy?
KISS! Yes!
Though I don't recall hearing it from the platform, my JW friends told me it was an acronym for "Knights in Satan's Service".
Good times.
golden age aug 25th 1926 p.751 "negative gravitation...you may have wondered how accidents will be avoided in christ's kingdom, since we are told nothing will hurt or destroy.
scientist tell us there is enough atomic energy in one finger nail to propell a battleship.
the people of the future may carry some of this power with them.
The people who mocked you, ignored you, oppressed you, and persecuted you have been turned into the dust that you now shake off of your sandals.
Oh and don't forget - in the JW version, you get their fancy houses, too.
Still not clear who provides the electricity for the house though. [Shrug] "I'll guess we'll just have to wait and see. Jehovah will provide!"

We had a CO play "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen during a circuit assembly. He was trying to demonstrate the dangers of "backward masking", the idea that bands intentionally recorded messages only understood when the (vinyl) record was played in reverse.
After playing it forward, he then played a recording of the same clip, backward.
He told the audience, "now listen - they clearly say 'decide to smoke marijuana' ".
I'm glad he told us in advance, because to an unprepared ear, the recording sounded more like "dgrtvdf sowooort maggitorushssss".
But hey, if the CO says it says "decide to smoke marijuana", who am I to deny it?
a lot of pimos are reporting that returning to the meetings is backfiring in that covid is spreading among the members returning.. post;.
so last saturday was my first meeting back in person and well it completely backfired.
last night i got a text from my group overseer saying that someone in the hall tested positive for covid and that we need to get tested(great 🎉).. honestly i kinda expected this.
There's no "COVID Explosion."
Pandemic is not quite over yet:
https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/what-we-know-about-omicrons-ba-2-variant-so-far1/
I expect the scenario mentioned in the Reddit to happen in hundreds if not thousands of congregations, particularly in the crowded conditions sure to occur at the Memorial.

Oh lord, get ready for some hyper-spastic "See? We told you so" articles from the WTS for the next decade.
apparently 4 new gb helpers as per reddit.
1) paul gillies.
2) johnathan smith.
He is really exceptionally dull and uninspiring , with no noticeable empathy or warmth though
I'm pretty sure those are exactly the qualifications for "GB member". He'll fit right in.
phone call to us.
attend meeting, wear mask, distance, get shots.
every one was said to be nobodies business.
any potential cold or flu symptoms disqualify people from attending JW meetings at a Kingdom Hall
Or if you've been "exposed" to the virus in the past 10 days.
"Sorry, brother, since a significant number of those infected with COVID are asymptomatic, I cannot confirm I have not been exposed to it in the past 10 days. So, out of an abundance of caution and concern for the brothers, I'll be staying home from the meeting."
Repeat every week until they stop asking.
behind the doorshe was a small girl wearing an old-fashioned bonnet.
like something out of a victorian painting.
her eyes were cast downward as she spoke to the psychologist; sometimes glancing at the scribbles the doctor made in response to certain words.behind her, in the hall, a tall, stout policeman near retirement age leaned in to catch what the girl was saying.
Help me understand so I can rest my mind.
Where was the girl standing when she opened the door for the first time? In the basement, or outside the basement?
It's a really well-written story.
now they start inviting to their "commemorate the death of jesus" event.
it always makes me a bit sad.
i don’t think i could endure to watch it myself today.
Remember in 2021 when the memorial was at their homes (on account of the pandemic) and elders letter said if there's no anointed people present you dont even need the actual emblems?
I mean, why bother even having it?!!
Or, the other extreme:
Whether there were anointed or not, most every congregation I know of told their members to have the emblems in their own house for Zoom.
What do you think happened after the final "amen" and buffoonish waving and the Zoom session ended?
Guar-an-TEED that 95% of the JWs chugged back the glasses of wine & got out the smoked salmon & cream cheese for the bread.
In other words, "partaking" of the very same emblems, just 15 minutes later when it somehow "didn't count".
And JWs mock Catholics for "pointless, stupid rituals".
