  my parents kicked me out of their home 3 years ago when i started to question things.

  i was engaged to a ministerial servant and a regular pioneer shortly before everything happened.

  although i haven't been da'd or df'd i have been labeled an "apostate.

  Jana.....thank you for sharing such an intimate and personal letter to your parents. Your letter sounds like a million that I have written to my parents begging for acceptance and love (but to no avail). If only our parents would understand what an extreem sacrifice they are making for the sake of a man made organization.....it makes my heart sad to know that others have experienced the same pain that I have-but then again, it makes me happy to know that I am not alone...none of us are.

  restoring a hard drive

  some of you fine peeps are aware that my damn hard drive crashed a few weeks back.

  no warning.......just crashed.

  of course, i didn't have a chance to back up my files which i lost all of them.

  We own two Gateways and two Dells. I have to say, I was sold on Gateway (hence the second one) then my hubby bought himself a Dell. He really like it too.....so the fourth one we bought was a Dell. I haven't had any trouble w/my Dell except for the damn hard drive failing (this of course AFTER the warranty was expired!). I truely believe it is the excessive heat and humidity and the fact that it was on ALL the time due to our networked systems and our satellite connection (always someone on it at sometime or another).

  I JUST WANT MY PICTURES BACK! WWWWAAAAAHHHHH!

  Someone about to open a can of whoop ass

  oh yeah , the can shall be opened very soon.. we were ratted on for smoking at the dance club a few weeks ago, the dub that did it told our elders and we just said to hell with it all, we don't beleive it is the "truth" anymore and want to disassociate ourselves.

  we told the elders that smoking was not the problem, the borg was, the lies, the child abuse, the cover ups, the changes etc.

  in fact i dont even smoke now.

  after going back and forth in e-mail with my jw daughter, i got a chance to tell her about the wts` scandal with the un.

  me being a mom still wanted to try and make a difference in my daughters life.

  so i sent her an e-mail, i talked about every day goings on.

  Thank you so much for sharing such a personal letter.

  I have often written appeal letters to my parents but to no avail. 

  I know it must be as painful as for them as it is for me....it is a no win situation.

  How sad that so many lives have been devastated by some stupid rule! Thanks for sharing......and hugs to you!

  I actually got to see Paul Thorn perform this live about a year ago. He was the opener for John Prine. During intermission I went and purchased the cd and had Mr. Thorn autograph it. I giggled, told him that I loved that song, mentioned that I use to be a Jehovah's Witness. He looked at me, asked if I was a stripper-I said no, and he said I should think about it! Made my night! He has hilarious music.....great tune called Viagra too. Great performer, nice guy.

  p.s., when Paul introduced this song, he mentioned that it was written about a friend of his and the events were true! LOL

  i am cleaning house for a pending garage sale and started cleaning out the hall closet.

  way in the back, covered w/dust, was my big bible and pioneer book.

  i sat down on the bed and opened it up...... what a freak i was!.

  Nuttin' but underlining and writing! "organization requirements" took up a whole page in the front! You would have thought I owned stock in highlighters and was preparing for the big "Armageddon Final"! ICK!

  I called eyegirl cause I knew that she would get a big kick out of it and started to wonder what I ever did w/my Aid book! We laughed when I said the section on repentence was probably worn thru. Got to thinking about the time that I took a trip to S.Dakota w/our grandpa and my brother and I made out with a guy and came home so sick with guilt that I read and read and read. Followed by prayer, wailing, more prayer and more tears! I said worse part was I didn't know who the guy was........then it came back to me........those damn repressed memories!

  IT WAS OUR COUSIN!

  OMG! The sickness! But in my defense, he wasn't related by blood-just by name! I told eye, grab me the everclear while I sterilize my mouth!
