Suicide & Letting The Media Know - Important
by Celtic indear jwd.com forum members.
thankyou once again for the many very kind and thoughtful comments provided by many.. i well understand the rage that such a breaking story inspires in many of us and yes i do also understand that some feel that this is worthy of media attention.. however, as i have already informed one particular individual here by private email, and also bill bowen, i feel that a point or two needs to be borne in mind out of respect, not just for the young lady involved who is no longer with us, but also to adele and her own family.. at this moment in time i am advocating extremely strongly that no individuals inform the media of this heart rending story.
adele has never been a witness, nor have any of her family.

If you bring a 'situation' to this public forum that is indeed a PRIVATE one, what did you honestly expect any of us to do with the info? The time to protect that child is up! She is gone now. What are we protecting now, WTBTS POLICY? WTS and those jw parents must be held ACCOUNTABLE, if not responsible.
I had to speak up on this 'situation'. And guess what? If a private matter is again, brought to the public, I'll treat it AS public knowledge; and therefore, make more public aware. Simple.
Makes me think twice about what I bring to the forum. My thoughts.......I honestly feel that before info is brought to the media that considerations should be made and the person that wrote the post (in this case Celtic) should be notified/asked/informed about such a decision.
I agree with that the WTBTS doesn't need protecting, but some consideration for the "adoptive" mother should be considered.

Funny thing, Craig......when The Fabulous Thunderbirds were on stage and someone broke out a tamborine, Filthy grabbed my leg and said "sit still"! LOL
You just wait.....someday you will say "I knew that tamborine girl when........."! LOL

eye.......Johnny Lang is from "our" hometown?
The concert was fantastic! Shane West was okay......but I think he will get better w/age. We got to see the Fabulous Thunderbirds (fantastic harmonica player)......but to my disappointment, Kenny Wayne Sheperd played his guitar WITH the Fab. T-birds. Bummer. I really wanted to see his band.......and BB King. Wow........Let's just say I had a whole lot of me shakin! LOL.......
It was chilly and drizzly......but Filthy and I cuddled under the blanket and kept each other warm.

My .02........
I personally found the book (and reviews) disgusting about David Riegel's book, and my "right" is to not purchase it. There are plenty of view points that are in written form that I chose NOT to purchase......case in point, when I purchase gas at my local gas station I chose to walk past the pornography and not purchase it. Now, before anyone yells "boy lovers is completely different than pornography".......I agree. My point being that we each have a choice. My choice is to not purchase........
Let me bring another example to the table while I have your attention. On June 28,2000 the Supreme Court made a decision to ban homosexuals from the Boy Scouts of America-not only from leadership positions but also from membership. I found this an appauling decision. But, I guess that is their choice, right? My choice.......I refuse to support them in any way. There will be no popcorn sales made from my house, there will be no membership for either of my sons when they get older. What I am trying to get at is that their "right" wasn't "right" in my eyes.......I can't change a Supreme Court decision, I can't change what Amazon sells. I can change what I chose to support-hence not offering any financial means to a product.
