To me, a friend is someone who I can be myself around. They don't judge but love me for who I am. There is trust between us. A friend is someone that I can laugh with, someone who shares my sense of humor as well as me sharing theirs. I chose a certain type of people to be my friend because I can relate to them. I only chose people that I can respect to be my friend.

D you meditate?
by Lost Diamond ini went to a seminar yesterday for work on how to manage stress.
the speaker was great...he is dr. mees, author of "wake up, america".. he stated how our diet, exercise, and meditation are very important for our own health.
he described the damage cocaine does to the heart muscles, which cannot be repaired and compared it to the damage stress does as well.

When I had my two children, on both occassions I did the deep breathing mediation excersie which helped me deliver my children without pain medication of any kind. I just sat on a rocking chair and told all the nurses to just let me be (except when they had to hook me up to the machine to check my baby's breathing).
Ah.........I had morphine for my first two. Last one went so quick that I had NOTHING. Don't know why, but Medication worked for childbirth more than meditation for me! I realize now why no one approached me for those "birthing movies".......you know......pant pant pant......push push! I was the one screaming! LOL

I meditate daily. Usually in the morning when my world is quiet. I mediate about different things, but my favorite and most rewarding is "gratitude". The feeling I get is serenity.

Totally happy in your marriage?
by Lost Diamond inhow many of you are totally, incredibly happy in your marriage?
how many of you feel that your spouse is your absolute soul mate and you couldn't even imagine your being married somebody else?
talking with the women at work, i'm surprised at how many are not totally happy.

I am happy, and yes, I do feel that my "Filthy" (a.k.a. husband, Jim) is my "soulmate".......
BUT
there are days when I think that "till death do us part is a very, very long time!"

by happysunshine indo you think it is better to just live and let live with family that are witnesses, or will not confronting them with their beliefs come back to haunt you?

you are in denial about what they really think of you
I know all too well what they think of me.......but that is okay. Cause what they think of me doesn't matter anymore. I am happy and that is all that matters. There is a time to let go and that time is now for me.

My vote.......let it go.
I don't want them preaching to me, so I don't preach to them. Plain and simple.

Tell us about your Profile Pic
by Beck_Melbourne injust wondering about some of the profile pics...i think its nice to know a bit about the person you want us see, or the person you don't want us to see.
so what were you thinking when the pic was taken, how long ago, and where were you?
mine was taken last month, just after my 36th birthday.

Mine is my wedding picture minus my "Filthy" (a.k.a. husband, Jim). It was taken in May of 1999. Ochos Rios, Jamaica..........

Coming Out Party! Who Wants To Join Me?
by Funchback ini am officially retiring my other two personas (mister biggs and mister 8iggs).
quick history: i chose biggs because i am a huge fan of ronald isley (and his brothers).
i initially added 8iggs because i went over my quota for posts one day.
