Growing up a dub makes me appreciate my freedom as an adult and being dub free.
quite a few posts of late have mentioned shunning and i was pondering my own case.
i've come to think of it more like passive shunning if anything.
i can call them, but they rarely if ever call me.
In my family.....it isn't "passive shunning" just plain old shunning. But that is okay.....I have learned not to beg for love and attention and I teach my children the same. You don't like me.......my feelings are "oh well".....I got better things to do in my life than worry about people liking me.....

Gil......you are making some changes and that is great! I have always said (and sure people are getting sick of hearing it from me) "nothing changes if nothing changes"!

this is my first time posting here or on any ex-jw forum but i want to know if anybody else is not sure what to believe anymore.

If I could offer one bit of advice to those who are confused on what to believe after leaving the borg......it is this:
You don't have to replace your beliefs in one day. For some of us, it may take a lifetime to figure out what we believe. You explore different beliefs, examine different walks of life. The wonderful thing is that you get to do this with FREEDOM! You are your master.......you decide what you believe in! My advice, start exploring.......get out there and learn! What a great journey you have ahead of you!
