as you know my ex wife and i adopted her brother at 7 years old when his parents passed away.. we brought him up a j.w but he left at 16 and moved in with his girlfriend.. it came out he had been interfering with our 3 daughters when they were very young.. he never got prosecuted becouse my daughters didnt want to ( i suspect their mother a hard out j.w has something to do with that) so basicly he walked free.. latter in life he left his girlfreind comes back to the j.ws and they welcome him like the prodical son and he marries a j.w.. if anyone reading this thinks the j.ws like to hide c.s a read on.. it came to my attention recently by 2 ex elders that had read the letter that followers him when he moves congros that it says the sex bettween him and my daughters was consensual..they were under 10 years old.. this were it gets disgusting.. i approach the p.o of my old congro and ask him who wrote the letter he said he had moved by that time go see another elder .. i did he didnt know as well and said for me to ring the branch.. i did and they were not interested in changing the letter at all basicly go away.. the offender has moved congros 3 times and every time they elders think my daughters under 10 went along with this pos.. not sure what my next move is as the branch here has closed down and they operate out of a diffrent country.. if anyone wants to ask questions ill p.m the reply to you..

I dealt with a similar case where the kids (12 years old) were mutually engaged in sex together. The police cited "Romeo and Juliet" statutes and no charges were filed. The parents were counseled to keep the kids apart and get them some needed counseling. The elders agreed with this.

In another case, one party was 19 and the other was 15. Authorities took it serious and criminal charges were considered, until both were interviewed. The 16 year old was too young to consent, but the case was still dropped and it "went away". The parents of the 16 old were pretty upset but the local DA refused to escalate the case, probably due to the extreme immaturity of the 2 kids. These things are not always black in white in the eyes of the law.

People who work free for the cult for many years

what to these people who gave decades working for free in bethel when they are 60 plus years old.

I have seen many Bethelites who were just shy of 60 years old. They received nothing and got little support from individuals. Most had almost no marketable skills. I felt it was heartless on Bethel's part, but the blame needs to be shared. Being gullible will get you deep in a hole, in any religion. Nevertheless, JWs need to wise up. They are being taken advantage of and it will only end when they stop drinking the WTC koolaid.

As for the question, "How do they survive when they can't work any longer? Most are pitiful and broken, relying on gov't handouts. It is just too sad to bear.

in one sense it’s a no brainer because the figures just don’t add up any more.. in another (negative) sense it’s a no brainer because it’s been fundamental to jws since year dot and might undermine the whole thing?

Trying to make sense of WTC numbers is maddening as Blondie proves.

These days, it seems that few organizations tell the truth and fewer are willing to admit it even when their assertions are proven false beyond all doubt. So where are all the liars headed? All we can say is "in the wrong direction".

If WTC admits at the next annual meeting that the 144,000 is a figurative number, or that it is perhaps the number of actually engaged heavenly citizens at a given time - they expose that they have no clue whatsoever. In fact, WTC does not have Bible scholars who have any formal training in theological studies - and yes - it does matter.

The fruitage of such theological illiteracy is the flip flops we have seen over the years. It is not "new light" - just the same old charlatans changing clothes while hoping that no one notices.

Half hearted JWs compared to past generations

is it just me or has there been a massive change in jws of late?.

when i grew up in the cult they had a real sense of urgency and would do an hour minimum, these days it’s not even ten mins before coffee break.. same goes for everything else, it’s half hearted .

There is little doubt that the zeal for preaching has diminished. I have not heard any statements indicating excitement in the previous YEARS. Other religions have kept up the pace of preaching. Mormons and smaller evangelical groups are active where I live, showing no evidence of slowing down.

So what happened to JWs to make them give up on the preaching that was once a hallmark of their existence? Beth Sarim listed some valid reasons - I think there some on a micro level that also merit consideration. Even though I have my own ideas, I would like to hear what you think.

thinking sometimes about my youth days and the stories my grandfather told me about our jw congregation.

do you recognize that your congregation was full of somehowe strange folks, very low educated, poor and simple?.

the po was an elder with some distance, with some personality acting intelligent and following the rules strict.. there was always a kind of scandal.

As a child, we had a dizzying array of nutters and criminals. Even decades later, I am still learning of the secrets that the elders tried to cover. By the time I left to go to serve at Bethel, I was thoroughly convinced that the devil was speeding freely through the congregation in a race car.

I hesitate to say that all congs were like ours, but I suspect that WTC left it intact because it WAS like so many others.

Not by JW's. At their zenith, they were at arms reach of approx. 49% of the world's population. Not necessarily preaching, just operating close enough to be said to be visible.

A GB member told me that and I always wondered how they could possibly apply it to themselves/ I think he did also.

Now I believe that they have given up on that potion/notion. It is such an impossible mission that even Tom Cruise won't accept the role.

I think like many other changes - it is a distraction from the serious problems they facing like attendance, CSA settlements, government investigations, down-sizing, KH sales, asset consolidation, obesity:( ...

Seriously, none of the changes they have made thus far have actually made any difference in their attendance which is diminishing. Perhaps they have decided to finally address the many inquiries they receive about this erroneous teaching, but I doubt it. My gut (irritable bowel syndrome) tells me that these changes shift the conversation among remaining members, meanwhile behind the scenes, significant changes like the transfer of assets to the Irish corporations are in play, and SHOULD be making members seriously question what they are doing.

The bottom line: WTC has no clue when it comes to scriptural matters. I get a higher degree of accuracy flipping a coin.

Blood transfusions

i can't find a answer to this- what type of transfusions are not accepted-.

prbc( packed red blood cells).

ffp- fresh frozen plasma.

PRBC( packed red blood cells) - not acceptable - not even one's own PRBCs extracted and infused later.

FFP- fresh frozen plasma - not acceptable, although patients may receive all the fractionated parts of plasma separately without any repercussions, as long as they do not receive whole plasma all at once.

Cryoprecipitate- conscience matter. Most JWs readily accept it. A patient must be type/cast to receive cryo which raises eyebrows. Most HLCs calm this alarm since it is mentioned (favorably) in so much of their support material.

WTC never disappoints. They keep making announcements like they have actual insight into the scriptures. If they make this change, does it make them more of a charlatan or less?

Ukraine - Nato - US crisis

Putin has become predictable, dropping the threat to go nuclear whenever the war HE STARTED escalates.

Fighting together, Europe, the Nato nations and the U.S. would crush Russia overnight and Putin would likely be deposed by his own people. China would vanish from his side immediately, Unfortunately, it is a long shot that the military would ignore/defy him and refuse to go nuclear.

Biden has no clue of how to tamp the conflict down. Neither does Harris. Trump is over-confident that he has the magic words to talk Putin down. Thanks to the current administration, there may not be a solution that does not include the death of many many innocent persons.
