RR,
What about Russell's chronology? Was this derived before the pyramid? Did the pyramid play a huge part in Russell's belief about the end times? Was Russell's chronology accurate? Was his predictions accurate?
i have a question.. the wts likes to boast about the "photo drama" produced from 1912 and shown in 1914 onwards.
there is an article again on this subject in the jan 15, 2001 watchtower (yes, i know i am milking that one watchtower i have for all it's worth!)..
a couple of comments and then my question.

do paul's words at 1 corinthians 6:1-7 mean that under no circumstances should a christian take to court a case involving a fellow believer?
-u.s.a. here paul was showing the corinthian christians the inconsistency of taking disputes between christians before secular tribunals.
Alan,
You kicked some ass! Way to go. Friend just can't handle the "truth", even though he claims to have it.

Rolando,
Does the history of the Great Pyramid reveal the end times?
Does what the Pyramid reveal, coincide with what C.T.Russell believed and taught as truths from God?

Rolando,
Why should we accept your word for what is or is not altered by the BS?
There are some of the BS that I have dealt with that have been unaware of some of the changes in the Studies in the Scriptures by Russell himself.
The term Bible Student means nothing. You yourself have said that there are differences in the Bible Student faiths as far as what is accepted as truths from Russell.
If you wish for me to post a few of the changes that were suppossed to be truths and dates of God, as far as Russells opinion, I will gladly do so.

This topic and thread is becoming almost as confusing as filling out my Federal income tax return.
some information i just received solidly nails the watchtower society's coffin shut in the intellectual honesty department.. since the society published the brochure should you believe in the trinity?
in english in 1989, a number of people have complained that many of the citations were misrepresentations of the intent of the authors, or simply did not show what the society's writer claimed.
this is in keeping with many other wts publications, such as the infamous 1985 creation book, which i have demonstrated contains at least a hundred misrepresentations, misinterpretations and assorted scholastic inaccuracies.. the society, as usual, gives incomplete citations for its source references in the trinity brochure.
An extensive compilation of photo documented evidence, proving the dishonesty of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society's booklet

I have shown this to several active JW's. It leaves them wondering why the WT was so deliberate in misquoting and just flat out being deceptive.
can someone please tell me why pro-witness posters frequently tell other posters that they are lying?
xandit has just done it to focus -who`s post was well researched and informative - friday on h20 does it for a pastime, as do most of the pro witness brigade.. i have to say that, in my experience, people who shout "liar!
" have usually turned out to be persons who`s own truthfullness can often be called into question.. calling someone a liar is, in my book, a dire insult, and will result in a challenge to pistols at dawn if that particular form of abuse is ever pointed in my direction!.
JWs are not the only "deliberatly oblivious" (thanks Xandit for the new definition) ones that turn to name calling when they are defenseless or have their back against the wall. I have dealt with Bible Students and other religions that turn to calling you a liar when they have nothing to back up what they believe or if you have nailed them to the wall with their lies.
how do you get your grubby little apostate fingers on this wonderful award?
simple!.
just predict what you think will be the next bit of "new light" coming down the heavenly cable modem to brooklyn.
TR,
You gave me an idea on how to get free samples of donuts if indeed the Bakeries do as you predict.
I will place a couple WT and AFAKE magazines in the front window of my home and dress in a suit and tie when the Baker comes a knockin at my door.

On a more serious note, I think the WT will do as the Mormon church has been doing the past few years, and that is try to become more acceptable in the eyes of the mainstream churches and the public.
One way of doing this is by changing the tactics in which they lie about their doctrines so as to not be as noticable. Gordon B. Hinkley, the recent Mormon prophet, when interveiwed by TIME magazine August 4,1997 was asked the question on page 56 whether his church still holds that God the Father was once a man, Hinkley said "I don't know that we teach it. I understand the philosophical background behind it, but I don't know a lot about it, and I don't think others know a lot about it."
Either this is a down right lie by Hinkley the self appointed prophet or he is an ignorant prophet that knows less than the missionaries knocking on doors.
