larc,
Go to the Sick and Tired topic by Farkel, read the 18th post on the first page and tell everyone again that I did not show support to Farkel for the hard time he is having.
Either you missed the post, or.....?
is an example of farkel's work online?
if so, would someone please provide the link?
i've been told that it takes him up to a week to compose one of his pieces of work.

not a jw story, but years ago, while inactive, i was dating a young woman with an infant daughter.
i had recieved an invitation to listen to one of those time-share schpiels in the poconos.
we werent intrested, but figured it was a good way to spend a saturday.
LOL
Out of the mouth?
My wife and I sat through a time share pitch a few years ago at Lake Tahoe. We received a fantastic free breakfast before and $50 bucks in cash to spend at the Casino's after the pitch. I told them right up front that we were there for the grub and $$$. They made no sale even thought they did as you said with all the pressure and prodding. We won't sit through another.
is it necessary to resort to the schoolyard talk and name-calling every time someone says something, which is in disagreement with you, or is something you don't agree with?.
interestingly, some of the more "knowledgeable" persons on here seem do be the first to resort to these measures.
do they feel like they are better than the next person?.
Flip,
For Msil to do as you request, would be to open up a can of worms that might lead this thread into one of the very posts msil mentions.
Names would be posted to prove the point. I think it not a good idea.

There is a leg sticking out of Prince's rear end.
the pillsbury doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and complications from repeated pokes in the belly.
he was only 71. doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin.
dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including mrs. butterworth, hungry jack, the california raisins, betty crocker, the hostess twinkies and captain crunch.. the gravesite was piled high with flours, as long-time friend aunt jemima delivered the eulogy, describing doughboy as a man who never knew how much was kneaded.

The gravesite was piled high with flours, as long-time friend Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy, describing Doughboy as a man who never knew how much was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show business but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times, he even still, as a crusty old man, was considered a roll model for millions. Toward the end it was thought that he would rise again, but alas, he was no tart.
Doughboy is survived by his wife, Play Dough, two children, John Dough and Jane Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart.
The funeral was held at 3:50 for about twenty minutes.
ahhh, the book of revelations, how complex it is.
i have a wonderful exercise that really helps me and is a lot of fun.
first pray to jehovah for understanding and to make your eyes see.
qwerty,
Show your wife this in the NWT Reference Bible.
1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify Christ as Lord* in your hearts...
Notice the asterix after Lord. Look at the reference at the bottom of the page for that verse with the asterix. It says "the Lord God" "Jehovah God."
Also, read 1 Thessalonians 4:16 because the Lord* himself will decend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangles voice and with God's trumpet...
See the reference for the word Lord with the asterix* on the bottom of the page. Ask your wife if it is Jehovah decending or Jesus?
you can find pay attention to yourselves and to all the flock in many languages on the watchtower observer, such as english, spanish, polish, portuguese, french, finnish and german.
but there is also lots of other sites that carry the book.. there is a new "pay attention to yourselves and to all the flock" coming soon, and i hope to be able to bring the "new light" in a short while.

Kent,
Thanks for all of your efforts. I will post a few of these links on a few sites that JWs frequent to count their time. I am sure it will make them happy.
for the biblical historical aficionado only, a short but concise history of bible translation.... http://www.theatlantic.com/issues/85feb/transbib.htm.
although in the article, jehovah is mentioned during the squabble of 1885 (look for it), i found it curious that the watchtower bible & tract society and/or jehovahs witnesses is made conspicuous by the absence of any mention in spite of their self-proclaimed biblical importance.
its good that the wtb&ts proclaims the corporation is used as jehovahs 'wallet', because theres little credibility, other than financial, with anyone else but themselves.
Thanks for the link Flip.
the second study article and the ensuing reading article contain many interesting points.
i thought of sharing some of them with you.. the second article entitled share in the joy of giving carries with it many positive admonitions, but mostly centered around the spiritual side of giving where the main thrust is on disciple making.. while it is true that disciple making is gods will but we must remember that it is gods paramount will that we ourselves become true disciples to jesus christ.
becoming disciples to an organization, to a religion, to a man or a group of persons and then engage in adding more persons to such discipleship is not what god or jesus intended.. on page 17, par 16 there it says; remember, too, that the disciple making work is a group effort.
Good analysis Defender.
