as you scroll the page, there are many great and to the point questions that are asked of the reader if and when they become or are perhaps considering becoming a member.. and more on freemasons/ illuminati (for those who have requested more pages on this topic):.
Charles,
You said that Russell understood 'nothing' about Masonry except what urban legend said about it.
Now that's funny. NOTHING??? BWAAAAAAHAAAAAAHAAAAA
I agree with you on a few things, especially, Russell demonstrated to be a fool.
many people seem to think that moral end ethics would be unknown if it werent for the bible.
the moral of the bible when examined thoroughly is to say the least, extremely relative.
looking at the hebrew scriptures it becomes clear that moral and law was pretty much a tribal and ethnic phenomenon.
Norm,
Your arguments were dealt with and shown to be lacking in clarity until you clarified yourself on the bottom of your last post to logical and myself.
Are you sure that (all) the talk about Biblical or Christain "values" and morals isn't worth anything? It is just talk as you put it.
I wonder how many who claim to be Christian today, once led a life of screwing people over including their mate and now are trying to be a moral responsible adult because of the Christian values they now hold?
i have been lurking for a while and thought it time to post.. i am aware of many of the names from the old h2o days and it is a. pleasure to see you again.. briefly, i come from south africa.

Good for you jurs. Be prepared, it is not over yet. You may even be receiving one of those certified letters from the WTBTS.

i have only recently been df'd, so i struggle with what i believe regarding god and the bible.
as you all would know, its a long process reprogramming our minds from all the lies and shit we were taught by the organisation.
I have seen a fish fart. It did not smell!
I have seen a pig fly, right after the farmer picked the bugger up and threw it for knocking him down.
Saucers fly, my ex threw a few at me.
I have a big foot, size 12.
Lohness Monster? Never seen that one!
Hellfire, wasn't that the name of a motorcycle gang? No, that was Hells Angels.
Armageddon, just hope your right messenger!
any one here get that sinking feeling when you were an active jw?
i'm not talking about the point where we developed doubts about the borg, but just the shear weight of responsibility on your shoulders to uphold "god's kingdom" ala wts.. the topic of doing all you can was brought up frequently.
some would try to sooth by saying "as long as you're doing your best, jehovah will accept you.
Hello TR,
The stress of raising my kids as JWs with an unbelieving wife at the time was hell in itself. I can relate with you man. Be glad we are out of the borg and our kids are too. At least we can raise our kids knowing what hell it is turning our lives over to a religion like the WTBTS. Hopefully they will learn from us and not make the same mistake.
I am thankfull I am not raising my kids to adhere to any religious organization or religious belief system. My two daughters 15&13 are A students and my son is getting there. He will be starting football for 11 year olds in July. He will be the first in our family to play actual football on a team since my father who was a center in high school, he died before he was 50 still active in the WT.
I gave up so much for the WT and wish I had that time back. At least my kids will have the freedom to make their dicisions and explore the avenues that I was warned would lead me outside the good graces of God (the organization). I am not talking about immoral behavior or drug use etc, I am talking about getting involved with friends and activities that build character and knowledge that will help them in their lives to be well adjusted.
i wish to conduct a legitimate poll, or at least as legitimate as it can get on this forum.
unless you are or were a jw, please do not respond or make comments.
please simply give an answer, without extended comments.
Two
Both are still active JWs. Both have moved from the Kingdom Hall I attended.
