I like that idea. I wanted to write to my mum too but haven't because things are kind of going back to normal. I am learning to listen to the "witnessing" and biting my tongue and if I wrote and told her all I have learned I am sure that I would never see her again DFd or not.

Tell me what you think
by Ft2188 ini left 5 years ago and even though i've had therapy and have been medicated somehow, something from the last creeps up on me.
i started writing a book, mostly for my own healing.
i wrote a letter to my parents of everything i had wanted to say but knew i wouldn't get a chance to.

Is it me?
by MTSman inso, i’ve been out going on 10 years and at times i think about going back, but i can never muster the energy.
over the last few however, i’ve noticed that a lot of people who were in good standing, and pillars in the congregation and org are now df’d.
most know i’ve been out for a while and see that i’m doing pretty good and want to talk or get together.

The devil's advocate in me likes to think that maybe these ones have had their own Awakening and need friends who know what they are going through and that is why they seek to reconnect. But that is just me.

Just Bumped Into My JW Sister And Brother In Town
by pale.emperor inso im walking through town today on my lunchbreak and spot the unmistakable walk of my younger brother.
this is the one who left watchtower... well it turns out he's returned to the vomit after stupidly turning up to the 2017 convention and a few elders filling his head with seeing our dead dad in paradise and to "wait on jehovah".. a few meters behind him was my sister.
she spotted me first, then hurried up her step to my brother.

I have never been able to come to terms with the notion that treating your own family like that is supposed to make them want to return to the "fold". How could you go back to playing "happy families" with siblings who behaved like that towards you. It's always seemed more of a reason to never ever return to such insanity.

How do they get away with "New Light"?
by moreconfusedthanever inone thing that bothers me greatly is the fact that they can change their policies and beliefs and just say its "new light" and no one bats an eyelid.. there are many scriptures such as isaiah 40:8 "the word of god will last to time indefinite.
" or hebrews 6:18 "it is impossible for god to lie".
if he is "spirit directing" the borg then there should be no need for new light..

Did you leave the JW RECENTLY? Really? Recently? WTF were you thinking?
by The Real Edward Gentry innot to be overly harsh...but if you just left, what the hell were you thinking?
between 1995 and now, you never did an internet search of "jehovahs-witness" or "watchtower"?
good god.

Phizzy you are 100% correct. The overlapping generation thing made no difference to me. Jehovah will sort it out. Getting the new bible annoyed me and seemed like a waste of resources. Still Jehovah will sort it out.
It wasn't until I was trying to teach my children that the red flags started to come up. Explaining things we believed sounded ridiculous coming out of my mouth and my children's faces said it all. Lol.
Never never would you willingly come to a forum such as this and read the words of apostates. Satan will enter your mind and lead you astray. Pft.

THIS Is How JWs Feel About The Cut In Magazines And Content
by pale.emperor ini asked the question on quora "how do jehovah's witnesses feel about the announcement that the public edition of the watchtower and awake!
magazine is being reduced to just 3 issues a year and the number of books, tracts, and online content are being discontinued?".

Janice A the response I got when I questioned how those without internet and iPads was "Jehovah will look after them".
It really is a religion for westerners. No regard for how it affects the "entire brotherhood" as long as it works for them.

Certainly no holy spirit evident in the entire process and it surprised me how this alone does not wake people up.

There are some spelling errors on page 4 that I noticed and punctuation throughout needs checking.

What is the Psychological agenda of the Watchtower Corporation enacted through its publications ?
by Finkelstein inbasically its to get people to believe in the things they say and proclaim.
once people are in a believable mental state and acceptance, then the wts can control people's thoughts, emotions and actions through acts of repetitive indoctrination.. this all comes together by instilling the notion that their interpretation of the bible is the correct and accurate one.
add in the notion of following us you'll be more righteous in the eyes of god , thereby offering a better chance of survival at the soon to come armageddon.. everything connects in a cohesive self supporting way and subconsciously effects the thoughts and social behavior of all those being indoctrinated.. constantly pointing out the many evils of the outside secular world or other religions as "false" but how one can gain true happiness when inside this organization is their way to sustain devoted members.

This is what troubles me. For what purpose? I find myself wondering if the GB believe all they say and are also just misled? I can't get my head around why they want to control people they will never know or meet.

Perhaps things being said and done at the meetings are waking her up and is not happy about it.
