I finally drove off my wonderful jw wife...and i am so sad..
by oompa ini helped her move out this weekend so i must be a masochist too...so on top of losing every friend in my life...i have now lost my wife...and yes i asked her to leave on more than one occasion this year...we have argued for nearly five years about wt crap...nothing i could ever say would make her question anything!!!!
it was beyond frustrating...then this spring when i somehow disassociated myself and even lost my parents i knew i would never have a normal marriage no matter what...all i wanted was a normal marriage with mutual friends...that is off the table as long as she is a jw...but why could i not accept it???
why could i not shut up???

If she left you over a difference in beliefs, then she's not the "perfectly good woman" you imagine her to be.
There's no domestic violence, no spousal abuse on your part, no vices that are putting your health and/or finances at risk. It sounds to me like she left a "perfectly good" man for Jeeeehoooover, the god who makes promises he doesn't keep, the god who demands that you sacrifice your children rather than 'pollute' them with blood transfusions and the god who requires all of her time, emotions and resources. She's been having an emotional affair with Jehovah right under your nose, and she chose him over her marriage.
I hope one day you'll see it this way and realize that you deserve better than that.

LeavingWT's DA letter
by irondork inthe blood issue has been an ongoing arguement between the roomie and me.
not heated, by any means, but she keeps qouting back established wts reasoning on the subject.
"it's feeding, jason.

leavingwt:
I hadn't read your letter until just now, and I wish I'd done so much sooner! It is superb, and I love the brilliant use of quotes from WTS publications to hoist them by their own petard.
I'd made similar discoveries while researching the publications prior to my defection, but never bothered to put them in writing. Well done, sir.

I can't bring myself to say the phrase "the Truth" anymore....
by stillstuckcruz ini used to be able to say the term "the truth" with no issue.
that was whether i was speaking to jw's or not.
now all i can say is the "witnesses"(catching myself before saying 'witlesses').
-
Scully
In real life, I never call it that anymore. But on here, I'll refer to it as The Truth™ - that little ™ symbol on that term and any other JW jargon is my cynical little jab at the language that JWs use.

Congregation Coordinator Disfellowshipped
by headisspinning inmy sister just told me that the congregation coordinator from my last hall was recently disfellowshipped.
his wife passed away within the past year.. all i know is that the first announcement was that he was no longer an elder.. and then a while later that he had been disfellowshipped.. he was quite prominent in the city where i live and he has been specifically named on this website at least once - if not twice.
specifically, there was at least one post by 'dogpatch' where his name was mentioned.. just thought i would share..

There should be a Local Needs Talk™ within the next few weeks at the Service Meeting™ that will provide some very broad hints at the kind of behaviour that was involved, without naming names, of course.

"Feeling sorry for yourself" about being hit by your husband is not Christian 2/15/12 WT Page 25 P 12
by yourmomma inhave anyone of you read, the absolutly jaw dropping paragraph in this article about a women who was hit by her husband?
its in page 25 of the 2/15/12 wt study edition (i read the dumbed down version).. .
if there was any question, that the watchtowers stance is for wives to simply take it when their husbands abuse them, this makes it crystal clear.. who the hell is scanning these things before they go to print?

what they're saying is don't push someone past his or her limits.
if you don't learn to respect someone's limits bad things can happen
Well I guess that makes it okay then. Are you effing kidding me?? Are you well??
AnneB's compendium of circumstances where wife beating is acceptable encompasses any situation where a man feels his limits have been infringed.
- disagreeing with him or "trying to prove a point"
- treating him disrespectfully, the way he dishes out to you
- etc.
Complete and utter horse$h!t.

Disgusting.
I am so glad I don't have to peddle that appalling bull$h!t to other people, who actually have their heads screwed on straight, anymore.

I'm sorry, but I have to say this re Kim Kardashian (fluff thread, sort of)...
by AGuest inbut i do so to be fair (may you all have peace!):.
if she were my daughter, and kris humphries said to her what he said to ms. kim, when she voiced her concerns (again) about not wanting to move to minnesota (which she did before getting married and he "pretended" to accept), i might tell her he's the wrong guy/man, too.
no, i don't believe in divorce "just because,"... and don't know that i would tell my daughter to divorce him (she made her bed, so to say), but.... what did he say?

I honestly don't understand the fascination with the Kardashians. Or Jersey Shore for that matter. Or the Duggars.
whatevs. Rich phoneys with more money than brains. Totally off my radar.

OMG! I have had a huge row with my neighbour in the driveway! Oh the shame.....
by watersprout inso we are looking after this stray we found called ''dog''.... she is ok seems to have settled down and made herself at home.
lol.
so this morning we jump in the car to take carrot to work and we put dog in the kitchen so she doesn't eat all my furniture.

I would find a recording of a dog barking, whining, etc. and add it to your iPod.
Then whenever you leave the house, set it to play very very loud, over and over and over and over and over.
She'll call to complain about your dog barking. The authorities who deal with such things will pay you a visit. You'll say "dog? what dog? we have no dog."
Eventually she will be sent to the looney bin.
