I thought this was funny:
Mr. Clinton had a history of illegal drug use, and [Dr. Brown] wondered aloud why [Clinton] would use illegal drugs but not take blood if necessary.
and this:
Mr. Clinton went to another VA medical center
jehovah's witnesses are unreasonable in the way they expect the larger community to respond to their no blood policy.
the medical community is too often held hostage by their insistence on adhering to tan erroneous interpretation of an old book.. jehovah's witness claims surgeon refused to operate.

Orphan Crow:
Bloodless surgery is NOT suitable for all patients or in all situations.
As an RN, I am well aware of this fact. However, that doesn't mean that a JW has the "right" to have surgery performed on them bloodlessly by a surgeon whose ethical position is that the particular surgery has a heightened risk of requiring blood transfusion.
It's the reverse of the situation where JWs fought for the right to abstain from saying the Pledge of Allegiance or singing the National Anthem in school. The surgeon is refusing to be bullied into operating on someone who is placing restrictions on his expertise.
..about child molesters being reappointed to positions of trust?
also, whether they would consider using 'worldly' expertise when assessing potential risk?.
why was spinks questioned as to whether the organisation should use professionals to assess whether a pedophile is fit to rejoin the jw community (or whether they are still a danger), let alone be reappointed.. and yet jackson, one of the policy makers in the org, was not even spoken to about pedophiles being judged as 'repentant' and even safe to be reappointed, by incompetent elders??.
The problem with Reinstating™ someone who has been Disfellowshipped™ for sexually abusing children, is this:
Following the model of first-century Christianity, Jehovah’s Witnesses have no clergy-laity division. All baptized members are ordained ministers and share in the preaching and teaching work.
An "ordained minister" is automatically someone who has a measure of trust within a congregation. An "ordained minister" is someone people respect. In the case of young children, parents generally afford much higher levels of trust to someone who is a bona fide member of the congregation due to the assumption that all members are "ordained ministers".
Therefore, it does not matter whether a person is appointed as an Elder™, Ministerial Servant™, or Pioneer™. The fact that a Reinstated™ person is permitted to re-join the ranks of "ordained ministers" with all the rights and Privileges™ associated with that, regardless of any court mandated restrictions (such as not associating with children), puts vulnerable people at risk.
jehovah's witnesses are unreasonable in the way they expect the larger community to respond to their no blood policy.

i went through the original footage to get a good look at the watch.. from these pictures we can probably say that it is a apple watch and that it has a golden color.
the color on the pin is black, and the band is white, grey, silvery or beige.. .
the pin is in the exact place for it to be a apple watch.. only apple watch edition have the gold color.
The first scripture that came to mind as I read this thread was Luke 18:18-25 (NWT):
18 And one of the rulers questioned him, saying: “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit everlasting life?” 19 Jesus said to him: “Why do you call me good? Nobody is good except one, God. 20 You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery, do not murder, do not steal, do not bear false witness, honor your father and your mother.’” 21 Then he said: “All of these I have kept from youth on.” 22 After hearing that, Jesus said to him, “There is still one thing lacking about you: Sell all the things you have and distribute the proceeds to the poor, and you will have treasure in the heavens; and come be my follower.” 23 When he heard this, he became deeply grieved, for he was very rich. 24 Jesus looked at him and said: “How difficult it will be for those having money to make their way into the Kingdom of God! 25 It is easier, in fact, for a camel to get through the eye of a sewing needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God.”
HYPOCRITES.
here's john oliver's take on how easy it is for religions to fleece vulnerable people in the us.
i had a few good laughs, but it's seriously disturbing at the same time.
read the article, but don't miss the video, it's hilarious.. john oliver sets up his new church.
Our Lady of Perpetual Exemption
"Our Lady of Perpetual Exemption may choose to wind down and dissolve in the near future. Upon dissolution, any assets belonging to the Church at that time will be distributed to Doctors Without Borders, a non-profit charitable organization that is tax-exempt under § 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (EIN: 13-3433452) and which provides emergency medical aid in places where it is needed most."

I have to wonder, since one has to be approved as an Unbaptized Publisher™ before they can qualify for Baptism™, this screening process will apply to people who wish to be Baptized™, before they even go through the Baptism Questions™ with the Elders™.
I don't see how it would apply to UBM (Unbelieving Mates™) though. They generally don't participate in the Ministry™ and are not considered Ministers™ or even one of Jehovah's Witnesses, per se; though they do have access to children at Meetings™ and at social functions where children are likely present. Parents likely discourage close contact with UBMs anyway.
i am writing this in the hopes that it may help someone in a debate.
i personally have not had a chance to discuss it with anyone but that is true for most other topics.
i think is a good one to analyze.

I'm not sure where the clothes and garden implements come from since they never show any factories.
The Hopper™ at Bethel™, of course.

Quote from jw.org, just retrieved:
Following the model of first-century Christianity, Jehovah’s Witnesses have no clergy-laity division. All baptized members are ordained ministers and share in the preaching and teaching work. Witnesses are organized into congregations of about 100 members. Spiritually mature men in each congregation serve as “older men,” or elders. (Titus 1:5) They do so without being paid for their services.

That was fantastic. Saw the show last night, and both Mr Scully and I laughed our boots off.
BTW, "Wanda Jo Oliver" is not his real wife. The real wife is a stunning blonde ex-military.
