  Should jws claim the Dole?

  i understand that the dole originated in pre-reformation times when they would `dole' out the dough,this being institaged by the catholic who r considered 2 b part of babylon the great by jws.. should a jw there4 partake in something 2 do with christendom?

  Queen finally does something useful

  in the uk there has been a big trial going on in which the former butler to diana princess of wales was charged with stealing some of her possessions after her death.

  he has pleaded not guilty from the start.

  this has been going on for close to 2 years, the case dramatically collapsed this morning when the queen finally decided to get off the royal butt and intervene saying that she knew he was holding some of diana's possessions.

  Kid 1st Halloween..too much like door to door

  ok , we got the little ones all ready to go trick or treating right...... they freaked the first couple of doors, scared to death to say anything to the people at the door.

  i was laughing so hard because they must have thought it was like the scarey days of going door to door in the ministry.

  after another house , we decide to go to the carnival in town and see what was going on there.

  The double dog dare at the Kingdom Hall

  last night i posted a picture of my watchtower jack o'lantern and lyin eyes double dog dared me to take it to the kingdom hall.

  sooo................. after the trick or treating was over, we loaded the kids in the minivan and drove to the kingdom hall.

  i put the pumpkin on the railing on the front porch right in front of the main entrance.

  i have been smoking off and on for over a year,,,,,,,never smoked before this year in my life.. it all started just for the hell of it.

  then as my hub and i started going out dancing and hitting the town, cig smoke was everywhere.

  i would comehome with it in my hair and all over my clothes.

  I've been smoking since i was 12, I am 49 now.

  2 years ago I started ' hand rolling ' because they are smaller, and it is not always convenient to make one, it was the only way I could cut down from 40 a day.

  I agree, being honest is the only way to go.

  Just ask yourself "How do I feel when I find out that a person is not being honest with me ?"

  I, for one, will not make a person feel that way, and I will not conpromise my good name by being dishonest.

  If I think myanswer may be hurtful in some way, I decline to answer unless 'pushed' then the onus is on the other person to take my answer as it stands.

  Now ya got me being serious Craig...........are you out to blast my rep. ??????

  imagine, a group with a worldwide membership who are devoted to the group.

  A group whose members are always going from door to door.

  A group that sends out thousands of books per year.

  A group who are very secretive at the top.

  A group who sends out regular newsletters, containing lots of numbers, worldwide.

  A group who sends and receives thousands of letters each week.

  Just think of the result if such a group was used for espionage! Books to be used as code books, numbers in the magazine to send messages, people going door to door to deliver/pick up information, practically impossible to check all the mail, legitimate meetings, secret books at higher levels, a policy of non-disclosure to authority, patsys at every level who would take the fall and say nothing, money from the general public in donations for running expenses, the list is nearly endless.

  What a marvellous opportunity this would be!

  Good job a thing like that could never existhm?

  The Society Encourages Reading 1951-on Bound Volum

  the latest nov. km recommends getting the bound volumes from 1951 onward, because they are still useful to us.

  if someone suggests that we shouldn't read the older publications because of the "old light", this km sets the matter straight!

  my question is "why on earth would the society recommend re-reading these old volumes"?

  827 Green Goddesses? Why?

  if the uk firemen go on strike, the army is standing by with it's 827 green goddesses.

  so why can't the army simply use the modern fire engines that we have already?

  it seems nuts to me that they are pulling all these old bangers out of mothballs (most were built in 1956!

  A 40% pay rise is a lot, but remember Tony Blair gave himself a rise of 41% and his RISE was more money than most lower paid workers EARN per year.

  Public sector (and other) workers have been asked/told for years to keep the wage demands low.

  No-one is keeping the cost of living low, go figure.

  Pay the firemen what they are worth and we wont need Green Goddesses
