  one year on, the hatred that manifest itself on that terrible day still abounds in the world, but the love of people, the love of honour, the love of duty, and the love of life itself abounds stronger yet.

  hatred will not conquer the world for the negativity that it represents cannot endure the light of day.

  the strength of the american people manifests itself in the willingness they showed to absorb the awful blow and go foreword, and in the courage that they showed while working through the tears.

  my interest in them started 1 year ago when i started to 'study'.

  going on to the internet, and searching ' jehovah's witnesses' led me to this board, (among others).

  Great talk at the KH today

  i went to a kh near me today, they had a guy from london bethel talking.

  he had some interesting things to say.. he did the talk in two parts, in the first half hour he was comparing 'this system of things with the titanic, and saying a lot about how the people on the titanic were carrying on normaly when the ship hit the berg.

  then he went on about people had to 1, believe that the ship would sink and 2, have faith that the lifeboats would save them.

  NWT. Question

  the nwt is a trnslation of the bible.(jw).

  the jw's believe that something is only true if there are two witnesses.. the question is... why do the jw's belive that the nwt is a 'true translation' when there is only one witness to it.

  woe to those who are enacting harmful regulations and those who, constantly writing, have written out sheer trouble, 2 in order to push away the lowly ones from a legal case and to wrest away justice from the afflicted ones of my people

  Druids in the Bible?

  24:26 and joshua wrote these words in the book of the law of god; and he took a great stone, and set it up there under the oak in the sanctuary of the lord.. 24:27 and joshua said to all the people, "behold, this stone shall be a witness against us; for it has heard all the words of the lord which he spoke to us; therefore it shall be a witness against you, lest you deal falsely with your god.".

  the above passages seem to be refering to druid practices.. has anyone any thoughts on this?.
