STADD, Oil dropping in price does exactly the opposite of what you are wanting. When gas is 95 cents a gallon people drive big trucks and cars and renewable crashes because it is way to expensive over cheap oil. This if it lasts will crush Tesla and other electric car company's. Also where the heck do you think that electric grid to power the over priced Tesla POS cars comes from? Natural Gas and Coal. Wind and solar can not make up for what fossil fuel delivers. There will never be a Jet that can actually do work powered by a battery. Not going to happen. No one except the nut bar hippies and new age nuts will live in a grass hut and peddle a bike hooked to a generator to have light. People want to drive and not have to wait hours to get a charge in their car. Big tucks and trains and ships of cargo are never going to be powered by electric. I know that trains are electric but that electric is powered by Diesel engines on board. No cargo ship is gong to run on a battery or wind. We as a world are not gong to get off oil in your life time. Most likely not in a few generations and that is if they come up with new technology that can replace it. There is nothing on the horizon yet. Sorry but it aint going to happen. Tesla stock is all smoke and mirrors. People who are idiots and traders staying with it as long as its up are propping up a company that is not based in reality. Couple that with the fact that GM, BMW and VW and others are rolling out electric cars. Electric cars are only one small part of the fossil fuel situation. Factory's are not going to run on wind power, Solar is not efficient enough to do much. I am not against any of that but its not gong to stop the world from using oil. Oil and other fossil fuels are the only thing that is stable. Not to mention Fossil fuel is yummy and I love driving my vintage Firebird with a Rochester 4bbl carb and V8. I get more thumbs up waves and double takes than any POS Tesla on the road.

Rush made the case today for Abiotic oil
by JimmyYoung ini did a paper on this for college years ago.

I did a paper on this for college years ago. The Russian are the ones pushing the idea of this limitless oil source deep in the earths core. There is so far no evidence proving it. Every attempt to prove this has ended in failure. So today Rush put it forth as fact. He misstates that oil did not come from a few T Rex dinos. But that is not what science says. This is like saying humans came from Monkeys. Not what evolution teaches. Oil is thought to come from the biological soup that created small animals that under millions of years of build up and pressure created what we call oil. The idea of limitless oil is not supported much outside Russia.

There is no proof god exists. None at all. You can say god exists but you have no proof. This is the idea of intelligent design disregards all the things that are not done well. The human eye is not designed well. Many other animals have much better designed eyes. This fits with evolution but not creation. Even if you jump the canyon of there being an intelligent designer that does not automatically mean that the god of the bible is the correct one. Hinduism, Islam, and any number of hundreds of religions and sub groups will all say they are the correct one. Or the Alien seeding hypothesis. If there was any real proof of a god people would not be pulling this crap out of their ass to try to show proof where there is none.

EVERY Religion has Hypocrites- even the TRUE One!
by MuchCloserLook inso, if you expect to find 'saints' with halos, you will never find real christians.. after over 30 years of being a jw, there are many things about the org that disturb me- yet no one else even acknowledges the only true god, as jesus referred to him.. not a 'they' or 'them' ('trinity')- but him!and he has always had the name jehovah (yehovah in hebrew)- even though the koine greek had no version of it when the nt was written.. so among the many things real christians have to endure- is often each other!

There is no true god. You can not prove there is a god. There is not one whit of evidence for a god to exist. All anyone has is a feeling, they want to believe or get a tingle up the leg when they hear a story where the red sea parts. bla bla bla. If there was evidence or proof then one would not need faith. I know the sun exists I don't have faith it does I can see it feel it and take a picture of it every day. Faith is to believe in something with out evidence.

Who is considered more bizarre?
by incognito2014 injws or mormons.
from a public point of view not from people within the religion as that would be obvious.. examples of extreme beliefs or behaviour would be useful..

The JWs have a more mainstream view of religion with some very strange variances. The Mormons are way out there with their magic PJs and if you do as you are supposed to you get your own world to be god over, Magic hats and gold plates and many more things that are Bat crap cray. That said a man made of mud who was deceived by a woman made of the rib of the mud man who was in turn deceived by a talking snake to eat from a tree that dispenses knowledge is bat crap crazy all by itself but we are used that nonsense.

Does prophesy negate free will?
by Tim207 innot sure if this is in the right subject but here it goes.
i’ve asked this question to a few elders and bethelites but they don’t seem to understand or like the question.
to start off we have to agree that jehovah is all powerful.

This has been a question I have always thought about. How can you predict the future if there is not change always possible. Trillions to the trillionth power of small changes that each one could have a butterfly affect.
