i say with mixed feelings and fingers crossed, but i haven't read any of you knows totally stupid and un-thought provoking posts the last few days and i was wondering if he had finally realised what a total moron he sounds or whether simon has done the decent thing and blocked the idiot from posting...or is it just wishfull thinking on my part???

I don't know what it is, but the way he words things, even the stupid picture he's attached to his posts just give me the creeps and remind me of all the arrogant, selfish, over-bearing and irritating people I have happily got away from in the org.
I'm really glad I have this message board to read, it helps keep me sane and realise that they are the wrong ones.
perhaps i'm just a bit paranoid..but i get the feeling that there are a few posters that actually hate me (before its assumed--no i'm talking about lack of responses to my threads.. and no i am not talking about a disagreement of opinion) i am talking about a few posters that come across to me as very hateful in their responses.. and yes i know that not everyone here will like me (even though i'm so darn sweet and cute...lol) but it is an intense animosity vibe that i get and can't seem to shake.. maybe i am mistaken and maybe its just me..... but if there is anyone out there that does dislike me that much---i am curious as to why---only because i try to learn and grow everyday and your input would be especially valuable and probably essential to that -growth.. so whats the verdict---do you love me, hate me or just not care either way?.

the topic of this thread is mostly directed towards jehovah's witnesses who still have some ability to think.
this topic is important to those jws who may have some doubts about their religion, no matter how small they might be.. i'm going to make perhaps, a rather startling assertion and instead of presenting all of my arguments for it, will invite others to contribute their own arguments.
if a person was to ask a number of jehovah's witnesses what was the single most important part of their religion, a variety of answers would be given, and without question, all of them would be wrong.. to put it another way, if one had the power to take away just one thing from the watchtower religion that would render it impotent and foundering like a beached whale, what would that one thing be?.

The whole organisation would fall apart, also, if the witnesses would realise that Jesus' parable of the faithful and discreet slave does NOT apply to the governing body.
Anyone with 2 brain cells can see in the scripture that if thereis a modern equivalent of the faithfull and discreet slave then where are all the other slaves spoken of in the scripture. Typical witness logic of taking part of a scripture and applying to themselves.
i sent the following to my jw son today and, of course, i'm antsy about his reaction.
i love you, jw son, and from 28 years of being a jw, understand completely your religious views.
this is my decision and reasons for it.
I think the letter was exact and correct.
I have a similar situation with my parents, they want to see their grandchildren and have to accept my arrangments ...and they do.
Active JW's have to be made to realise that they are the ones in the wrong and by expecting everyone to bow to their needs all the time then they are fighting a loosing battle.

There was an elder this year in my old hall who was accused of abusing 4 girls BEFORE he became an elder.
He was disfellowshipped 1 week before the court case on.....adultery.
