Evil Apostate, a person who partakes and isn't anointed is compared to a false prophet, and they'll be killed in the GT or Big A. I've personally heard local needs talks to that effect.

There is no holy spirit involved. I was given assembly parts while being awake - how funny.
I dropped out when I realized I valued intellectual honesty more than most things.
Having watched part of the last convention online, is it possible that some of those crazy guys giving parts are also awake? Maybe desperate to believe, regardless?

my wife who is a very active jw has had her medical card for cannabis for a couple of years now.
and i know several in our congregations around our area who are using it medically.

after 9/11 there was a surge in, not only the watchtower, but other demonisation of organised religion.

Not only that, but I can easily add that it's not limited to a diety at all. There are cults that use the same tactics and what they are based is on recovery from drugs and alcohol. There are other ways of using the same tactics, using political causes or self-help, for example, that can harm as much as using a god or diety.
By Jove, I'd say that absolute power corrupts absolutely! Yep, you have political cults, cults of personality, new age cults around some funky bestselling book, recovery programs that depower rather than empower the self...
Critical thinking is the enemy of all of this.

yet, they are still using the baptism questions.
