If they're made perfect, are they still the same person? How so? -

Origin of shunning
by anointed1 insatan loves his own people and hates those who do not share his views, hence only he can use shunning as a weapon.. on the contrary, god is love (agape = unconditional love), cannot have his own people.
(mathew 5:44-48).
all the accounts not in conformity with this principle originated from cleric’s pen (jeremiah 7:31; 8:8).

So... Jehovah is Satan?
Sort of. The Zoroastrian influence of the battle between Ahura-Mazda and Ahriman is clearly present (with Satan taking the role of Ahriman) but it is a reinterpretation to say that the "hashatan" accuser in Job and the talking snake Genesis were Satan all along. To make things more complicated, it was accepted in the Middle Ages that the snake in Genesis was actually... Adam's first wife, Lilith, and her new lover was closer to what we'd call Satan.
43alley doesn't touch on Lilith, but he sums up the development of the Satan character pretty well:

Watchtower No.3 2017 - The Four Horesmen
by pale.emperor inthis is the first time i've read through a watchtower magazine in about a year.
although i've been our only 8 months it really git me how crazy i must have sounded when i was a jw talking to non jws.. while other bible based religions talk about the 4 horsemen and back up their theories with other scriptures or historical evidence, the watchtower have taken so such steps.
1914 is thrown in there as if it's universally agreed that jesus started ruling since then.. even when i was a jw i never really understood why, if the pale horse represents jesus, why is he first?

Love it, @Bobcat! From the video:
When the Roman Empire crumbled, Europe was besieged by plague, famine, persecutions, and a state of war so persistent, it was only rarely interrupted by peace.

The four horses of the Apocalypse present a picture of this existence.
The four horses represent life on this world. Every time a man gets on a white horse to "fix the world"... the other horses follow, Warfare, Famine and Death right behind. Always.
Caesar, Ivan the Terrible, Henry VIII, Hitler, Mussolini, Idi Amin, Lenin, Bush and now Trump. They all get on that White Horse to ride. Authority is given them like a cheap crown. And a bow. They are let loose to prove themselves.
The end is always the same. It is to the detriment of humanity.
But the second White Horse is no fake. It is Christ Himself. He rides in a righteous war. His angels ride behind, not three horses, but uncountable, all righteous. His crown is not a fake. His appointment is real and at the cost of his own blood, of which he is sprinkled.
The sky is darkened, the Earth quakes. As it was when the Christ died, it is again when He comes. It is the sign of the Son of Man.
This is the Apocalypse.
I like that. Another similar interpretation (but less apocalyptic, if ironically) is that the 4 Horsemen represent 4 archetypal phases of life: the young man, the old man, the sick man, and the dead man. These also align with the Tetramorph and the 4 angels standing before God with the head of a man, the head of a bull, the head of a lion, and the head of an eagle. And from there it aligns with Aquarius, Taurus, Leo and Scorpio, and the 4 elements of water, earth, fire and air. In storytelling, it aligns with the transition in a hero's dramatic arc from an Innocent/Orphan to a Wanderer to a Warrior to a Martyr/Magician.
At first, you're reckless, you're riding high but somewhat aimlessly, you're "young, dumb and full o' cum". This is the pale horse with a rider with a sword protruding from his mouth, and the dissonance between that and Jesus Christ is kind of ironic. An older man is a bit more rational, weighing things in the balances. You become wiser but you also become sick and eventually die. But the cycle of life continues with the next generation, who get on their pale horse and do it all over again.

1914 to be abandoned around 2016
by Alfred inthe other day i was doing some research about "1914" for a friend on my wt cd library (spanish) and i found it quite interesting that the number of times "1914" is mentioned in the watchtower magazine during the previous 3 decades has been dropping exponentially as follows.... 1980-1989: mentioned 854 times.
1990-1999: mentioned 492 times.
2000-2009: mentioned 222 times.

Don't Feel Like I Have Much In Common With Anyone I Know
by JW_Rogue inwent out with my family and all they talked about was how terrible trump is and how he'll surely bring the great tribulation.
then they started going on about people supporting trump showing that america is becoming racist.
i don't consider myself a trump supporter but i disagreed that that was the reason why he won.

Political neutrality is a myth. Everything that ever happens in humankind is political, including to the choice to not vote. There ain't no rest for the wicked, and money don't grow on trees...
