  Articles about avoiding relatives and worldly people??

  does anyone know where i can find some society articles advising jw's to avoid association with worldly family members or worldly people in general?

  i search around a bit, but all i could find online was to shun df/da people.

  Why is there a High Rate of Suicide among Jehovahs Witnesses?????

  hi guys.

  last week i was involed in a very distressing situation, going with a family to identify their mother who had commited suicide.. we are waiting for the coroner to release the body for the funneral.. but, so far this year a number of jw have commited suicide in england,why???.

  can any one throw a light why so many jw of good standing commit suicide,.

  I'm wondering if there are any stastics, that show suicide rates in compairison to different religions/cults/sects. I saw the post that mentioned that religion tends to "promote" (perhaps not the correct word) suicide, but I would be more interested in some stats, rather then just an opnion, even if it was an educated opnion.

  Well, I'm not sure Heysus, let us down, I more think it was Paul that let us down, he was the one that made all the hoop about Heysus, it was his followers that were suppose to have written most of the Gospels, and he himself that wrote most of the NT it's self. Aside from that there is no evidence in historical writings from 1ad until after 50ad that Heysus even existed, so if he did and that is a BIG "IF" he could not have been the great miracle worker he is suppose to be in the biblical record, and the only reason I give the date of 50ad is that the earliest Gospel is dated to about 50 ad, not by manuscripts, but by what is written in it.

  what is the latest incarnation of the king of the north in dubland as i had an elder tell me on sunday that the muslim nations were the king now.

  i had not heard that before and it seems to me that they are just pulling anybody out of their arse as the king as they become more influential, how many times are they going to get it wrong before people wake up to it?

  Actually, yes that is the last defination they had for the King, but prior to that it was the communist block and since the end has not come as yet, and the communist block outside of China is benign, they have had to change their ideals of who it is.

  I left the collective, about 24/25 years ago, I had not seen a JW in over 22 years. Since then they have regularly stoped by in their regular field work, I have fun with them.

  i just got off the phone with a gentleman who, talking approx 1000 words per minute, so that i could almost not understand what he said, identified himself as "navin", and wanted to "share a scripture with me".

  he clearly did not know who i am or my history, or my website hobby.

  LOL quotes, I had a simular expierence when they came to my door and we discussed the 607 bce subject along with 1914. The guy told me he had the evidence that jerusalem fell in 607, and would bring it back and show me. Now that was about 18 months ago, he never showed, they never do when they get backed into a corner.
  Nice job, I have been waiting for them to show up again so I can have a simular discussion with them.

  can someone explain or point to an explanation of the early bible students' varying explanation of 1914?

  i understand that various "studies in the scriptures" were changed 3-4 times to accommodate changes in the 1914 explanation!

  1. i was wondering how many who post here are actively taking steps to expose the gb, the wtbts for their lies, crimes and hypocrisy?

  1: I do as often as it is possible.

  2: I speak with others as often as the subject comes up, especially to those that are studying, or having doubts and in already. I have sent news articles to the local new organisations to print and or reference in the news cast.

  3: I have been able to get a few individuals to really take a look ( I pretty much try to work on a one to one basis) and see the corruption and lies that come out of the WTS. and have kept most of them from going back or from continuing to study. One of those being my oldest son.

  4: Convincing a study that it's ok to read the material and convince them that what is there is true. Most JW's beleive that the letters and quotes that are posted are misquotes or apostate in nature, even though it may be directlly from WT materials or as in the case of the UN letter on the UN website, that it's not apostate. You would be amazed how many JW's have told me, that is an apostate website and not from the UN...................sheesh.............. I also spend a lot of time with skally in the yahoo chat room, but that is more a comedy show with the JW's trying to defend their beliefs and stance.
