Is this world ruled by Demons and are we?
by Mindchild into me, one of the most pathetic and lamest of all watchtower teachings is the fantasy that satan and the demons rule the world.
the witnesses are terrified of these demons getting into their minds through everything from wearing old clothes bought at the thrift store to smoking cigarettes (remember all drugs give demons easy access to your mind.).
they would have you believe that each country on earth is controlled by really big mean and tough demons (hey demons cant be nice you know) and they are actively controlling the minds of the political leaders in a global chess game because they have nothing better to do.. i was wondering then if anyone can show me a single itsy bitsy tiny amount of evidence to show any credible physical evidence or logical/metaphysical reasoning to back the jw ideological boogey men.

Actually a better analogy would be the JW's and the Catholic Church curing the inquisition era. I mean think about it, the Catholics burned people for free thinking, not beleiving what the church taught, and those of other beleifs if you did not conform to their standards. They set people up and spyed on them by using their breathern, neighbors and such to pull this off. They even had a guide book to show them how to do this called the Malias Malicafarim (like the Secret Elders book). Now JW's do simular tactics, the only difference is the JW's do not have control of the governments to do their diry work for them, to carry out the death sentences. So they do the next best thing and treat them as though they are dead.

More Underwater Civilisations

author graham hancock scours the seas for evidence of the earliest civilisations, which he believes were submerged when the polar ice caps melted at the end of the last ice age.
in tonight's programme hancock makes some finds off the west coast of malta and along the "bimini road", a megalithic structure in the atlantic.. no doubt those who believe in a universal flood will continue to do so and those who don't will not, but it will add to the larger picture that we have on this subject.. earnest.

I remember 1975 almost like it was yesterday. I was 16 at the time. I worked. part time, for my dad in his electrical business, he had many of the Brothers working for him as well. I remember driving down the road from job to job talking about the 1975 issue, one brother was buying a house, and another was buying new applinaces becasue they would never have to pay for them, seeing as this was the summer of 1975 and all. I also remember others selling their house's and businesses to start in the full-time preaching work. I was encouraged to quit high school, and work part time and pioneer as much as I could. I recall when I met up with some of my aquantences from school after the fall and the new year was starting, I got razzed for the 1975 stupidity. I tried as I could to justify the fiasco, but even I realzed it was stupid reasoning.

Canopy around Earth before flood ?

before the flood it didn't rain;there was a huge canopy of water.

Actually newbie............ not in a heartbeat. In the polar caps they have found snow and ice to be dated much, much farther back then the flood story tells us. If we had such great weather before the flood, without extreams, How is it the ice caps are as old as they are. I forget what age they have drilled down to, but it is very very old. This is not using carbon dating BTW, it is using layer dating, so I don't any one talking about how inaccurate carbon dating is.

Hello everyone, I'm looking to see if there are any Ex-JW's living on Guam, posting on here. Sometimes I feel I'm the only Ex-JW living on Guam. I actually know I'm not, I have heard of a few others, but they really have no interest in Ex-JW activities. I am really corious to see, if there is enough interest and need for a support group for those just leaving the Borg locally. I know for many it is a tough row to hoe. Guam is different then most other places in the US, as families are very tight knit, often kids still live with parents up into their 30-40's. As I got a little bit older (being raised in the "Truth") nad I started doing more and more research in the area of how nature really works. It came to me that this idea that all creatures could not get along as the WTS has put on. I mean think about it. The animals (herbavors) would start to over populate and end up eating them selved into starvation, if there were no controls in place to keep their populations down, also you would now have the carnivors eating plants too. Insects would take over the world if they were not eaten by their preditors. The whole of nature would be in an upset. The answer I got when I questioned was the typical Jdud answer, "God would make the proper arangements to see all is right in nature"................. Well I thought it was doing pretty good as it is, why would God change things, it never made sence to me at all.
