I have always been kind of suspect of him being the " Road to Damascus " member. I really believe his entire motivation was to find an outlet in which he could be the biggest asshole he could be and mess with people lives.
I suspect he has finally got bored with it and started to screw with the borg.

while this topic might at first seem to come from left field, it has arisen in my mind when reading a number of recent threads.

The entire new testament is making reference to weird plurality of god in the old testament.
God is invisible but seems to appear to people as the word of the lord, angel of the lord, wisdom of the lord, the glory of god. Paul then later takes a bunch of very monolithic quotes from the old testament and makes them instead of just LORD it becomes Jesus and God. Its is like they are expanded.
Mike Heiser does a great lecture on this subject using that " Two Powers in Heaven " book.

My question here is
A. Is the current WTS teaching a works based salvation in which you never know if you have done enough but if you kill yourself , you get a free trip to paradise ?
B. This elder hasn't seemed to miss a beat since his sons death. I feel an evil presence when I see him and get knots in my stomach. I just want to call him out , Kick the shit out him...................just do something. You just killed your own child with your stupidity. You go door to door teaching the same nonsense that killed your son. You piece of shit.

Both groups try and remove the hinge point of the bible from the anointing work of Jesus dying on the cross and the New Testament to later texts and works.

what i mean by the title of this thread is what has happened to a relative of mine, one who is really upset about this factor:.
this relative is a distant cousin on my mother's side of the family.
she studied as a child and got baptized at 14 1/2 years old.
I know an Elder who has two children Pioneering and teaching at an English school in India. They are both in their mid-30s and childless and don't have a pot to piss in. This elder has built himself a fairly comfortable middle class life.
I know having your kids pioneering makes you look good as an Elder but there has to has to be a point where you would want better for your children. You would think ? Encouraging your children to throw their lives away to make you look good for your club.

the talks are ''repeats'' of a ''repeat.
The more I understood about the bible, the theological holes just became unbearable. The entire religion is eschatology base nonsense which basically voids the entire new testament for anyone but the magical eight.
The worst part for me was the half wits that always needed to hear themselves talk. Pointless comment after pointless comment. Just the pure narcissism of it was the worst part for me.
