  sorry i haven't been around lately, it's been months since i've visited the site, i've been a bit of a 'drive-by-poster,' if you will.

  i'm alive and well, the best i've ever been, in fact.

  6 months pregnant, due mid-january 2004.

  FOOD in DUE SEASON - The JWD Holiday Cookbook

  well i have been thinking about this and was wondering if anyone was interested in contributing some holiday recipes for a special edition of food in due season - the jwd holiday cookbook.

  some of us have been out for a while and have begun to establish special holiday traditions.

  for some this whole idea of celebrating holidays is rather new.

  waiting, Ohhhhhhhh I know. You're talking about those artery clogging ladylocks. LOL I make a few different kinds now-Irish creme and chocolate creme filled. You can't stop eating them and they go straight to one's arse. I eat 'em while I'm on the treadmill.

  Lee, I'll gather my cookie recipes and send them out to you this week. I'll provide a little background re: each cookie.

  Ang, Pay no attention to that unappreciative git! Let him eat cake! lol

  The Italian thingies you mentioned must be the almond biscotti drizzled w/chocolate or the chocolate-pistachio trees, or the pecan tarts.

  there's been too much volatile stuff going around, and a few folks appear tetchy.. can we drop any issues, and just enjoy a ((((group hug)))) for a moment.... ((((hugs to everyone)))).

  coz regardless of the ups and downs, this place is a little like the family i lost.... sometimes i need to take a step back, have a break and some quiet time, but that's ok, too.. every blessing to everyone,.

  However, my spawning ability doesn't tend to be in the area of cooking. I collect cookbooks rather than spawn them. Thusly, (not used wisely here) I spawn things in the garden. I'll leave the interpretation up to the reader.

  Hey Grandma-to-be, Snap out of it! You must at least do cookies! The song "Over the river and through the woods to Grandmother's house we go" doesn't say squat about visiting Gran and looking at daylilies-perfect those recipes. Your new weeun will love ya all the more for it.
