  Good morning everyone,

  First, I know some of you may feel very obligated to tell me "why would you want to get back in?!" Or "you're where many of us want to be!" I know. I know. I hate that I have to do this but I have to play their game.

  Anyway, I was thinking of writing a letter this month. I'm confident I WILL get REJECTED. However, I was thinking of using it as an opportunity to record my JC and figure out what they really want from me and also to get more insight on the inner workings of this cult.

  Can anyone who was an elder or who was DFed before offer me suggestions as some key points to put in my letter? Preferably in a private message? I kind of have a letter formulated but I don't want to post it online just in case of "lurkers."

  Strange sounds from the mens toilet ,late 80s early 90s

  so as a young boy bored and wanting to stretch my legs i would sometimes take a trip into the toilet just to get away from the main meeting room.

  did my little mind know what certain sounds were coming from behind the cubical?

  no.. but now in my 30s i'm fully aware what that sound was.

  I don't know if he was using them as "fuel" at the actual KH, but I knew one brother (an MS) who would use his phone to "follow along with the study" aka snap photos of sisters providing a "view" from his perspective (while running mics). His wife found the photos and not only did he get DFed, but she made him write an apology to every sister he did this to! Surely he was "spirit appointed" 😂

  only a few days ago i was walking around the house in a mindless wander thinking if i needed to seek professional help.

  then i got the courage to seek the comfort of complete strangers on the internet and found a world of support here on this website.

  Ohmygosh!! I am so happy for you! And I admire your courage so much. I remember when I told my DFed boyfriend that I didn't believe any more, that I wanted to get reinstated and fade. I was so nervous and scared. When he told me he respected my decision, I was at peace. I was even more elated when a few weeks later he told me he thinks it's all a bunch of BS. I can only, only imagine how you must have felt telling your elder husband. So I can also only imagine the joy you've conveyed in your post. I am so happy for you and I hope you enjoy your time in vegas!! I go there quite often and always enjoy the little street shows on Fremont Street (the old strip). Again, enjoy!!!!

  so even though i don't drive much because public transit is so good where i live (and parking is a living nightmare), i always had a paper taped onto my glove box that said "no blood transfusions - jehovahs witness.

  see legal documentation in wallet.

  going through this "wake up" process as been a very crazy, emotional experience.

  Going through this "wake up" process as been a very crazy, emotional experience. I wasn't sure how I felt about blood anymore. I still don't know. But right now, I feel uncomfortable saying "no I refuse all blood if a doctor ever says I need it."

  So as of 5 minutes ago, I pulled that paper out of my car and threw it in the garbage. I no longer carry the blood card either. It's a very strange feeling right now.

  years ago when i was "in" i loved the book study.

  it was my favorite meeting by far.

  mainly because it was a small group.

  I remember I was so disappointed when it was done away with. Like many have already posted, it was a great time to hang out with friends and at my book study, we had goody night every week! I never minded sitting through the book study either since it was only an hour long. My family rarely ever did anything for "family worship" so it just became another night of sitting bored around the house.

  This was something that always bothered me even when I was a still believing JW. It disgusted me to see people post photos of themselves with the GB like they got a picture with Beyoncé. Supposedly these men are "unlettered and ordinary" so why do they allow themselves to be treated as exalted Demi gods?

  i love the podcast and imagine my surprise when this title came up.

  imagine the surprise when i realized this was about jehovah's witnesses.

  part 2. my wife and i were at a point where we wanted to move closer to our daughter as she was about to have a child.. so we put our house up for sale, and after a few weeks we had a buyer.

  as we previously had purchased a block of land in the town we had planned to live in, we needed to rent for about a year till our new house was built.

  during that time only one witness family showed any kindness to us.
