Witnesses Are Great Folks
by FrankRaven ini know i'll get a lot of flack from this,but witnesses are good folks.and your average witness is concerned about you,non-witness.i've been there and i almost became one.my ex did become one.
it's not what they are taught by the watchtower,it's how one is taught.if one was what a witness was taught there wouldn't be any witnesses.it's how one is taught.most of the witnesses always told me,if you have any questions there's a book by the society that will answer your question.
(s)the watchtower is persistent.well so was i.the more books i read that the watchtower wrote,the more questions i had.and i,always,made sure i stayed on the topic.they never did.they always avoided my questions.and they are real good at that.

Tissues or Hankies ??

time for a bit of fluff, methinks..... which do you use - tissues or hankies?.
i use tissues, cos i don't see any reason why i would want to put something i've blown my nose on in with the rest of my laundry .

Beck, my Andrew uses hankies, too. I wash them, but when I iron, and see those little stains, cleansed though they may be, I get weak in the knees. I also have to wash the jeans that the dirty hankies have been stuffed into. I have bought new packages of hankies, so he can throw away the old ones, but he saves the new pkgs. I have begun slipping the especially offensive old rags into the trash while sorting laundry. He is a professor, and hates the thought of being caught up there without SOMETHING...and he rarely wears long-sleeved shirts. It's the worst of our problems, so I am NOT complaining!

Go HtoH, don't go HtoH...you can find support for anything and everything in scripture. Depends what you are looking for. Me? I have been catching up on reading that has been denied me for most of my life. Ever read Dicken's Great Expectations? Wonderful example of the art which humans are capable of producing, and I didn't have a single argument with anyone over the writings...a welcome change of pace.

I know that when I was "IN," I would have run for my life from a forum like this, praying to the "Tower of Strength" the whole way. In fact, I have been out for a few years, and only recently have had the courage to take a peek. He is dfinately on his way out. I am curious to see if he performs some fancy footwork in order to side-step my simple, straightforward question. He avoided a similar request for explanation by me last night. BTW, we know it is a "he?" Does he have rank, i.e., elder, pioneer?
A note...Although I have been a nonJW for some time, I have not replaced friends...has been very lonely, allowed much introspection...too much to be healthy, probably. I am enjoying reading the posts of real people who do identify with my feelings and experiences. Didn't think it was possible.

Why Ex-JWs Will Never Go From Door to Door
by comforter injehovah's witnesses proclaim the good news of the kingdom under the power of god's holy spirit.
jesus commanded his followers to preach in the most distant parts of the earth and promised them that the spirit of god would guide them in this life-saving work (acts 1:8).. without the spirit of god, one cannot continue preaching about jesus and god's kingdom (matthew 24:14).
one surely will not have god's spirit if one preaches a negative message (against jehovah's servants) from door to door.
