One problem I have concerns the pollination of the "Tree of Life". How were the little bees and birds kept inside the Garden. I know god could keep them in because he's God but was there some kind of "shield" or net? Is it possible we may find evidence of such a shield or net? What's interesting is that God did not destroy the tree but he chose to keep it alive and guard it instead. Seems the long way round but God,s ways are deep , must frustrate the rank and file angels.

I hate to push this thing but some where in the WT literature was a explanation of why Eve was not surprised to hear the Serpent speak. Could it be that other animals had already been in conversation with Adam. If Eve was E (a )vesdropping then with a bit of a stretch we might "speculate" that God spoke to Adam through say a residual dinosaur or a proto type Spider. Keep Cranking!!

Just remembered the Angel posted at the entrance to the garden. Its likely he also spoke to Adam but maybe not, flaming sword and all. One things certain, no one spoke to Eve ( headship and all that). Keep Cranking!!

PS Its more likely that Jehovah spoke to Adam through Satan before the Sin and either directly or through another person after the Sin . Remember , Lucifer was the covering Angel. Keep cranking!!

Schizm wrote:
"All things were made by [he who was "in the beginning with God," namely the Word/Jesus/Michael]; and without him was not any thing made that was made. ~John 1:3. "
.Schizm , keep in mind that the scripture goes on to say "...and the Word became flesh". If you insist on including Michael in your definition of the Word you must explain how this happens with an Archangel who IS a Soul but does not have a Soul. Without a movable essence how could Michael become flesh? Also, if an Archangel was "transfered" how could Jesus be a corresponding human like Adam. What about all that memory and experience ands understanding of death etc. Surely Jesus" faithfulness had more to build on than Adam had. How are we to understand all this?

Schizm says:
"Can you think of anything that JWs believe in that is clearly unproveable???"
Yes! The death of the "Soul". Because they teach that Michael's life was "transfered" they create a state of being that can be moved from the spirit realm into a physical body. No matter how lightly they treat it, the idea of a transferable "essence" contradicts the evidence they present to support "Soul death". To get around the problem they simply state Michael's life force was transfered and drop it there (the life force has no personality etc.) Go figure. Somehow we get Michael in Jesus.
Another major doctrinal point is that "the tree of knowledge" in the garden was a literal tree but with symbolic meaning. Can't be so ! Has to be a literal tree with literal meaning or a symbolic tree with symbolic meaning. This becomes evident when one thinks of the significance of driving Adam and out before they eat from the other tree.. the tree of life in the center of the garden. Think about it!!

New Light-----1986----The International Year Of Peace Fulfilled???
by minimus inthey're saying the prophecy is possibly fulfilled of "peace and security and then sudden destruction" in the year 1986 when world leaders dubbed that year as the "year of peace".
the feb.1st watchtower mentions that just as a pregnant woman over 9 months gradually has signs of a baby's growth in the womb, so too, we may have a fulfillment of bible prophecy without knowing it fully beforehand until the effects and results become obvious.
my mother read excerpts of the wt.

Trusting ourselves vs trusting the org
by Lady Lee inin my discussion with estee yesterday the subject of how the wts edits their own literature came up.
it wasn't until after i left that i began to realize the extent of these edits or that they even occurred.. an example i gave is how i could clearly remember having read something in a magazine.
i could recall clearly where it even appeared on the page even if i could not recall what issue it was in.

The time was It1989. I was bringing home shopping bags full of books and reading on every conceivable subject. It was Ralph Waldo Emerson that led the way for me. Being college educated and having put my intellect on hold for over 20 years, a torrent burst forth and my appetite for understanding was insatiable. The books piled up, I set up a 2000 volume library in my attic and continued studying ....everything. My wife was quietly furious and frightened. I was capable of doing all the outward WT things and still read , read ,read and think , think, think. She was confused and ultimatly she saw me as a clever apostate and a threat to her spirituality. None of it was true , I simply had grown spiritually and was able to handle the fundamentalist mindset with understanding. My support and cooperation were not enough. She wanted my soul. Ultimatly she left and continues to this day as a pioneer. The point is that, yes there is a an incredible need for information and understanding when we finaly begin trusting ourselves.

Video Welcomed by the Deaf, 2004 Yearbook pg.9--11.
by Blueblades inin 1915 in the united states,a pilgrim,or traveling elder, named john a. gillespie signed songs to the small deaf audience attending a convention of the international bible students,as jehovah's witnesses were then known.now there are over 1,200 congregations and groups of deaf publishers and interested ones around the world.how are these being spiritually fed?.
at present, bible study aids are available in 18 sign languages, and the number continues to grow.those who use american sign language ( asl ) received a special treat in september 2002.starting that month, watchtower study articles became available on video as a monthly edition.this provision is helping deaf people in ways that others might easily take for granted.. consider:most witnesses who are not deaf can quote a variety of scriptures from memory.this because they hear or read exactly the same words each time.deaf publishers, though,do not always enjoy such consistent renderings.why not?because the bible is not available in asl,and those handling parts at congregation meetings do not always sign scripture text in precisely the same way.but this began to change with the introduction of asl video publications.and now ,with watchtower articles also available on video, deaf audiences can enjoy a consistent rendering of bible passages.. additionally, asl congregations and groups no longer have to assign interpreters as readers for the watchtower study.in hearing congregations,an assigned reader might spend an extra hour or so preparing his watchtower so that he can read well.but in a congregation of deaf publishers, those scheduled to sign an article would often spend many hours in preparation.now, that valuable time can be used in other spiritual activities.how do the brothers and sisters feel about this new provision?.
a group of deaf publishers in the state of rhode island,u.s.a.,wrote:"we were overcome with joy when it was announced that we would have the watchtower on video.in fact, some of our publishers were moved to tears.

In my opinion, there is a consistent movement within the WT to systemize everything for the sake of efficiency and productivity. In the mid-nineties there was a very nurturing atmosphere in NY sign language congregations, an atmosphere that was good for the hearing and the deaf. It was the meeting of two cultures that had all the trappings of patience, understanding, and tolerance . Slowly this comraderie was eroded by policy changes that excluded all hearing members except those proficient in ASL . For example, live audio interpretations ceased. The WT had been spoken through personal headphones by interpreters to the hearing. Very exciting and colorful! The absence of these headphones had the effect of smothering the excitement of many "hearing" who were willing to learn and who wanted to help. In my opinion a missionary spirit was discouraged for the sake of efficiency. So, what is the objective of the ASL WT video? Control, efficiency, productivity. If you are deaf and you cannot keep up, move out of the way, Jehovah's Chariot is on the move.
